As much as I love my PS4, I just have to say it....the xbox one controller make games like Call of Duty, Fifa, Madden, Battlefield more fun on the X1. The extra 180p on the PS4 isn't even noticeable when you're in the middle of a firefight, but the controller is VERY noticeable, more comfortable, better triggers, sits flush in your hands, heavier, better joystick placement, overall better. As much as some trolls like to laugh at the $100 million that MS spent on controller R&D, it's so worth it. The controller makes for a better gaming experience. If only they can invest in more exclusives.

Performance>controller, especially when the controllers are reasonably close in terms of comfort and quality.

Didn't we just have this argument?

Using the DS4 hasn't bothered me

Playing FPS games is equally shitty on either controller

My opinion

They have the same FPS on most if not all games, the 900p-1080p difference isn't even noticeable when I'm trying to tie the game in the 4th quarter in madden, I'm not saying to myself "Wow look at those extra blades of grass on the field". I'm physically connected to the game through the controller, they are not reasonably close, the X1 controller is at least twice as good as the DS4, and I'd rather have a way better controller than an extra 180p. I sold my xbox one a couple years ago, mainly because of the long load times and the interface being so slow, that's another topic, but what I remember was that those multiplats were a lot more fun because the controller was so much better.

If the X1X wasn't so ridiculously priced I would get one simply for the multiplats.

agreed, my xbox elite controller is one of my favorite controllers. dont get me wrong i still like the PS4 controller but the analog placement, bulkiness and the rubberized texture on the elite controller just feels so much better in my hands.

Yeah I prefer the Xbox One controller as well. It has a great solid weighty feel to it, I like the asymmetrical layout of the analog sticks, and the triggers feel great for shooters and racing games.

I have no idea why people complain about the ds4. The controller sits so comfortably in your hands. I play all kinds of games and I have no problem with it. It makes me think that some people are refusing to hold it correctly. Granted, I don't have very big hands.

I owned an Xbox One early 2015 through mid 2015, I have used an Xbox One controller a lot (and prior to the Switch Pro, it was my favorite controller of the generation).

So... uh?

I disagree

Albeit I think the Xbox One controller is actually quite a bit better than the DS4, but not enough to nullify the other advantages PS4 has.

I knkw im in the minority here but I like the ps4 controller better. I had a xbone controller for my pc then sold it for a ps4 one and have been gaming happily on my pc since then. I play lots of retro games and the xbone controller just didn't feel right to me for some reason.

Every time I play my PS4 Pro I miss my Xbox Elite controller. The PS4 controller is just a piece of shit, but it is the only thing I dislike about the system.

Either/or. I swap the sticks on my DS4, which is its biggest issue - everything else is bueno. Can't do the same for my X1 pad's bumpers, which I still am bothered by, otherwise I like it too.

I really like most of what the Xbox One controller offers. In particular, I'm a fan of the texture around the rims of the analog sticks and the trigger rumble.

I'm not a fan of the d-pad though.

This would be true if the controller was miles better than the other. However, that's your opinion TC. I play with both and I find the DS4 sticks to be tighter and the D-Pad is better too. That being they both are great controllers for this generation. MS pushed Sony to improve their controller and it paid off.

Multiplats are best on PC and I prefer to use the X1 controller for traditional controller games. DS4 is definitely better than DS3, but the battery life is disgraceful. You also have to connect it when the battery dies instead of just quickly changing batteries. X1 controller is better than DS4 in pretty much every way except for the lack of Sixaxxis and touchpad which are not very important anyway.

I'm 6'6" tall guy with big hands and I have no issues with the DS4 controller. We aren't in 2006 anymore. Both the PS4 and Xbone controllers are very comfortable to use.

I'd say the PS4 controller wins in my opinion because it has a better dpad which is better for fighting games since I prefer to play them with controllers.

Trying to downplay what the platform is capable of is lame. I care about what is possible on the platform. What PC people choose to buy is up to them and the experience will scale accordingly. I always have a high end rig myself and it doesn't take much to beat the consoles.

Nah, playing with a mouse and keyboard might be "more accurate", but it feels lifeless, dull and disconnected. Playing with a rumbling controller is more immersive, and once you get good its not a big deal.

That doesn't change the fact that PC has the best version of multiplats. I am not interested in whether someone's individual PC is superior to the consoles or not.

It really goes without saying that when someone mentions multiplats being better on PC, they're obviously talking about a proper modern gaming PC lol.

Oh well, I guess Xbox gamers will become familiar with how stupid these arguments are soon enough. When the X1X drops and has the best multiplats on consoles, I'm sure some cows will be like "but not all Xbone owners are on the X1X!" lol.

SW goalposts, gotta love em.

@vaidream45: The ps4 is outselling the Xone by at least 2:1 so trust me, you aren't alone in liking the ds4 more lol. It's just that the minority here is a lot louder and vocal.
