Take-Two Sold 5M Copies of GTAV Last Quarter. 165M Total

I don’t really have words to describe this news. I think the FBI needs to open an investigation though. The only thing that makes sense is Take-Two is sending robbers into peoples homes, and they’re stealing peoples copies of GTAV. Forcing them to buy the game again…

The game has been charting for almost 9 years… And some users here will excuse a certain game falling off the charts in 2 months… Lmao

It’s hard to believe this game released on PS3/360.

Its an mmo. Since there's zero competition in what they're doing, it has to do well.

How many platforms has this game been released? If this game was released in a single platform, would it sell that many copies?

It is available on PC, 360, PS3, X1, PS4, PS5, XSX/XSS. Of course it would not sell as many copies if it was on a single platform. Multi-plats are all about maximizing sales.

I know a guy who bought it on Xbox 360, Xbox One, PC and XSX.

I bought it originally on 360 and later on PC. Had I known that the game was coming to PC, I would have waited. I did not make that same mistake again with RDR2. I waited for the PC version. No way I was playing it at 30fps. Fuk that shit.

Pretty crazy. I waited and got the Xbox One version. Did enjoy the game but that one purchase is definitely enough for me. Will wait for GTAVI.

lol it just dawned on me i bought it on 360 and ps4, and grabbed a free copy when they were giving it away on egs, so technically... 😬

I never bought RDR2, though. I played like 30 minutes of it via Game Pass though. Not my thing

Not hard to believe since it came out on PS4 and new Xbox. Although to me the game is not that good if you try comparing it to it's sales. It definitely gets a big boost from being available now on 3 different gens of consoles.

I bought it on PS3 and then on PS4. The thing is, I barely played it on PS4 since I did everything on the PS3 version.

GTA online is and always has been ass to me.

Then I realized how much space the game took on PS4, deleted it and never looked back. If only R* committed to some single player content….

Haha, it is pretty funny to see how many of you baulk at this, and then go "oh wait, I did buy multiple copies". I played it for about five minutes at a buddy's once, and never went back. You all disgust me 😁

GTA V singleplayer is awesome and deserves all the praise it got but..... GTA Online is like a virus that never goes away and it has ruined Rockstar's singleplayer games and all of their ambition. Alot of the major devs that made Rockstar a success are gone now. We are stuck with mobile developers destroying the classic games and a complacent company that doesn't give a shit about innovating anymore.

Trash game. mainstream game even non gamers buy of course its going to sell more copies.

Couldn't be arsed playing, even after getting the game for free. Tried to be arsed with RDR2, but holy **** the game looks boring.

Bought the PC version at half price, was worth it, never booted up online

I purchased GTA V on the Xbox 360 and then when it launched on PC I picked it up on Steam

I rather wait for PC versions these days so I’ll be patient for Ghost of Tsushima, Forbidden West, & God of War Ragnarok to do the same

This is ridiculous. At this rate we'll never get GTA 6. I'm appreciative and surprised that we actually got Red Dead Redemption 2 and it was great the way that they focus on nothing but GTA 5 smh
