Depends on the film and screen. The difference between a well transferred film on a giant (50"+ screen) is astonishing.

To be fair, there are a LOT of shit Blu Rays too.

That's it though, i'm not buying it for movies, im just buying S3 of Cobra Kai on DVD, don't need Blu Ray as i have no need to see the actors black heads or the pores on their noses.

Oh i'll never stream, hate things like Netflix. As for Blu Ray, i just don't see the value, sure it might look a little nicer, but paying an extra $10+ for that is not worth the money when DVD does a great job.

@Chutebox: Honestly i don't buy movies and Cobra Kai has been the only tv show i've bought in the last 5yrs, im not really the kind of person that watches a lot of tv, be it tv shows or movies. So yeah DVD gets the job done.

And tbh i dont even know if my X (not series x) has a blu ray player in it???

I have an XBOX ONE X and it has a Blu-Ray Player. I used that to watch Bill and Ted: Face the Music. Even the standard XBOX ONE has a Blu-Ray Player.

A lot of that is probably due to growing up on VHS.

Get higher quality when can get it. But not life or death type shit gonna fixate over.

Try Betamax than VHS lol, DVD is a thousand times better.

@ConanTheStoner: Yo bro, Wii U is still awesome. Some of these switch ports are inferior to the OG, like pikmin, dk, w101 cappy toad etc. Plus yoshi wooly world hasn’t been ported, love that game. Wind waker HD. TP Hd sucked though, Wii U can have that port lol.

Also, there’s a few Wii games that are widescreen only, and are letterboxed on my Sony trinitron ; for those games Wii U is great on my modern set. You can even jailbreak it and have the entire Wii/GC library on it! (if you own them, don’t strike me down mods) Not to mention the Wii mode virtual console.

But yeah, 3D world is definitely not one of those ports. I think it’s funny, because I think it looks at least as good as odyssey lol. You like no more heroes Conan? I’m pretty excited for 3!

Someone left some Christina Aguilera DVDs by the mailboxes, so I'm trying to see if they will play/rip. I don't know anything about her music, but I like concert films and music videos. I forgot how badly other people abuse discs. The laser sides look like someone scraped them across concrete. I will throw them out after, because they smell like makeup.

@MonsieurX There’s lots of games I would recommend, but at the top of the list besides odyssey is luigi’s mansion 3. Oh and bayonetta 2 if you’ve never played it. Pretty sure you had a Wii U though?

@uninspiredcup: RDR2 should have been live action western movie of our generation that can pay homage to older western movies. since it suck as video game but having incredible story, world, soundtrack and characters can be qualify for a hollywood movie.
