Detective Pikachu was really good. The Pokemon designs were pretty good though. Definitely didn't think live-action Pokemon could look this good. Although there were some that were pretty disturbing, mainly Treecko. It's not long though and I wouldn't go see it unless you really love Pokemon.

Did you watch with your daughter? I saw it with my niece! I indeed was blown away how great the CGI for the Pokemon. The tech has gotten much better over the years to blend in live action movies.

@FireEmblem_Man: My daughter like the movie, she wasn't blow away by the Poke live design as I was but then again, kids growing up today's standards won't know how us grown ups went from 2D to 3D stuff. I will say this, I want to see more Poke live movie with Ash & Team Rocket now.

Edit: I post the box office in OT and it almost beat Avengers: Endgame but it was a very tight race for number one.

Yeah, kids don't know how the transition and amazement of switching from the Genesis and SNES to 3D polygons with the PS1 and N64. It was entirely ground breaking for the time. LOL.
