Happy belated birthday, @nintendoboy16!

And done with the souls trilogy. Really enjoyed going through all the games and achieving the platinum. Not gonna touch another from or any souls type game this year.
Finished watching Spongebob season 2, and this quote is SO true if you're in the workforce, especially in retail:
"Nobody gives a care about the fate of labor as long as it gives them instant gratification." - Squidward Tentacles
Some people arent kidding around when they refer to people as little btchs. An understatement, id say, often times.
Frakes on board to direct some of the new Picard series. I don't want to be hyped, but i'm getting there. I just don't wanna see the political climate injected into the writing like with every other show.
I know what you mean. I'm definitely going to check it out, but I'm not really that hyped for it.
Going to start The Boys in a couple minutes. First show that I've been hyped for in a long time.

It does feel like the media (thanks to lord Trumpetta) is desperately trying to turn people to the left in fears you'll dress up in a SS uniform and start stamping back and fourth in your room saluting Hitler like your Russel Crow in Romper Stomper.
Even if you removed how heavy handed it is, Discovery just plain sucked ass. It's not a good show, at all. They wanted to make a sci-fi show using the Star Trek name than a Star Trek show. It's closer to a really, really (really), bad attempt at Battlestar Galactica, which itself was totally political, but actually well written with characters where you gave a flying-shit as to why they were blowing each other up in the first place.
Redlettermedia had a pretty good vid on Picard, and they are probably right, it will be an action/adventure show that some riveting piece of sci-fi.
@uninspiredcup:
Half in The Bag. Ugh. Either its all satire or those people have no clue. Im pretty sure its just them trolling. Ever since that fool did that Phantom Menace review...so off in every respect that im convinced he actually liked it and was just trolling the crybabies.
Doom 1, 2, and 3 just released on Switch. Might have to pick up the first 2, at $5 each that aint to bad. Doom 3 costs $10.
Dark Forces next, please. Thank yoy.
@heirren: But the Phantom Menace is a bad movie. Clone Wars also.
I'll defend Revenge Of Sith, as far as just pure entertainment value goes, it's better than the Disney stuff.
@uninspiredcup:
Wrong. Very simple. Theres not really anything bad about it. If you didnt like it, thats one thing, but a bad film, no? Literally every department on top of their game. Amazing.

But he goes intro extensive detail what's bad about it.
@uninspiredcup:
Lmfao, no, he doesnt. Its so far off that i honestly think he was trolling fans that didnt like the film. He literally makes zero valid points. He even assumed a whiny character for the review ala an upset fanboy.

What points are invalid and why?
@uninspiredcup:
It has been ages since i bothered with it. One day someone told me to watch these reviews and i damn near was on the floor laughing. Its an old video so forgive me for not remembering. I do think i got through the whole thing but maybe not.
The entire review. It has to be satire.
@uninspiredcup:
Great game. Before retro prices sky-rocketed i past up on a Dreamcast version. This was many years ago. When i got my 64 back, it was one of the games i decided to finish. My save file had everything completed save for a few golds on a handful of tracks. The framerate in the 64 version can make it a tad difficult.
Sidenote: damn some fools can be bitter af irl.
It's interesting how Spinter Cell 3 goes from the absolute worst levels in the series (Japanese Bathehouse) with terribly scripted sequences to one of the absolute best (Kokubo Sosho), which has a rather cool well hidden alternate event that subtle compared to what modern Ubisoft would do.

you mean this segment?
I remember how badass and amazing it was.

The entire section before that is scripted fights you're suppose to sneak past that randomly shoot you. Then a timed section where random Japanese Splinter Celll suited men jump out, while the villain talks bollocks to you to connect a false sense of connection.
The final level has similar stuff, but it's much better done with a larger space and player options to deal with them.
If the player gets caught and interrogated, it's creates a neat little scripted moment where the game can be continued but harder with the AI already alert.
Fantastic game, original has less blemishes though, and the story is better.

yeah i remember that bomb part. that was only scripted moment in game. otherwise Chaos Theory was perfect 10/10 game still. a masterpiece. and probably last ubisoft masterpiece.
Im glad series is dead otherwise it would be open world RPG but enemy health bar.
@ghosts4ever: I mean, if they had something like Arkham City, where you can do content both outside and inside tight hand-crafted dungeons, it could be interesting.
But at the same time, you'd lose those that globe trotting aspect. It's a problem alot of games like BOTW and Arkham have, samey environments with a great deal of re-used assets.
Part of the joy of a game like Hitman or Splinter Cell (much like a Bond movie), are the diverse exotic locations. They turn it open world, it will lose that by default. Or have some shitty slight alterations like hot area> Cold Area > Wet area > Mountain Area
I know what you mean. I'm definitely going to check it out, but I'm not really that hyped for it.
Going to start The Boys in a couple minutes. First show that I've been hyped for in a long time.
I'm holding out hope because Stewart, and now seemingly Frakes, are directly involved. We'll see how that pans out.
I've heard good things about The Boys. I really like Karl Urban, so i'll definitely be watching at some point.
@lundy86_4: "I just don't wanna see the political climate injected into the writing like with every other show."
Good luck haha
Tell me about it... Hollywood/LA based TV has become far too much in recent years. I'm all for picking up on individual aspects of politics and weaving an interesting story, but just trash-talking with nothing to add is just boring.
So many bad design decisions in Double Agent.
It's a shame they never released the Ubisoft Montreal Xbox version on PC, to this day a lot of people aren't aware their are two different games.
I believe Gamespot at the time scored the next-gen version higher, which is just ridiculous.
The Boyz is mediocre. Amazon shows are pretty wack.
Russian Doll was neato
I'll give RD a roll at some point... Seems to be a solid twist on Groundhog Day and it's been received well.
I'm more in The Boys for Karl Urban. I'll see how it holds up as a show eventually.
@lundy86_4: Karl Urban is dope, in spite of the accent being fake as **** lol. Man chews scenery. The show just lacks any sort of depth or anything interesting to say. It’s just super cynical cape shit, and Garth Enis still is like rated M for mature, Greek God of war Kratos mature, and not like adult mature namasayin.
And if I wanted to watch a show that’s dark with complicated n questionable characters, I’d rather watch all the significantly better ones that came out over the years. This is closer to how i always felt about game of thrones, glib, only way less good than the early seasons of GoT.
That said I end up liking hughie, Annie, not Superman, not Wonder Woman, and not flash enough, oh and Madeline.
The Boys was pretty good, but it left me wanting more. There were bits and pieces of info about most of the superheroes, except for a very few, which were focused on. Not enough superhero action/violence either. I wonder if was budgeting issues. Karl Urban was awesome as Butcher, couldn't have picked anyone more suited for the role imo. They did a good job with The Homelander as well, so unpredictable and eerie. Anyway, I'm hopeful for season 2.
Oz final episode was suitably ridiculous.
Although half the plot threads weren't wrapped up, it introduced new and returning characters like, 2 episodes before it ended.
I did like how it didn't take the easy way out, Beecher still in prison, Alvarez, after all his hard work just gives up into depression and Cyril just straight up gets executed. O'Reilly's about the closet thing to a happy ending.
They probably could bring it back if they really wanted to. Would be interesting.
Important show as well, raised the bar, even with all it's problems and absolutely dumb shit like ghost Jesus Luke Perry and ageing serum.

Although the next gen version of Double Agent mostly sucks, Shanghai Hotel a pretty dam good level.
Weirdly, it feels very similar to an early Skyfall scene which also takes place in Shanghai, but obviously predates it by almost 10 years,.
Just found out Cogeco offers 1gb connections in my area (and I live relatively boonish,) for an extra $10 a month above my current 120Mb/S connection. You better believe I upgraded lol. Fortunately I grabbed a TV subscription last month, so they upgraded my router at the time, and it was for the higher-speed connections. Quick flip of the switch.
Steam isn't doing great at keeping up...
Nice net, but why is the upload so slow? Mine is the same as the download speeds.
It's Canada, and competition is slim in areas... Where I am, neither Bell nor Rogers supplies internet. Basically, they're slow as shit to upgrade. That being said, Cogeco only took a few years to get a 1GB connection to me in NOTL.
Sadly its gone the disney route?
Know a lotta people; some good some bad. Some of em even stalkin me!
@uitravioience: because of the body heat? Airport are usually crowded, especially if the airport is small. So, many people in one place make really hot. There are also other factors too. I'm asumming you went to the airport in the current summer which makes a difference. Another factor could it's a cheap airport. A better airport probably has a better functionality and better resources.
