System Wars Lounge V45: Stupid Sexy PS4 edition

Right? Game is so good.

Lots of good games being released right now. What to play: Mario Kart 8, Wolfenstein, Watch Dogs or Transistor? Maybe all of them!

Picked up Transistor on Ps4, I am infatuated with its beautiful art direction.

Also a friend sold me his Borderlands 2 Vita code for $20. The game runs so terribly, I feel bad since I'm not enjoying as much as I should be because of these technical slip ups every few seconds. And I keep hitting the touchpad, so I have to hold it just right (and uncomfortably) to play it. I'm starting to think this port should not have happened.

Beat Risen 2. It was a solid game but I wish it was easier to fight multiple enemies at once. The final boss was really lame.

Dude, that's crazy talk. There is nothing statistically crazy about the same team getting the #1 pick in the NBA draft 3 out of 4 years when it's a game of chance. That's a totally reasonable outcome without any intervention what so ever. Divine or otherwise.

Obviously a Photoshop job. The TLOU and PS4 logos are to bright on the front face, and not even likely Sony would put their logo there.

Someone on r/nba did the math and It was like a 1660:1 chance of it happening. I dont believe it's rigged. But it is still amusing.

Either way, I dont think getting pick 1 is all that big of a deal as the 2nd and 3rd picks are valuable and will likely provide those teams with those spots a player that may suit them better than the higher picks. And unfortunately, history shows that there are greater odds of a player selected 1st in the draft pick to flop/underperform/get injured in the league.

The combat system in Transistor is rather fascinating and unusually complex. It's wedged somewhere in between Fallout, Valkyrie Profile 2 and Jeanne D'arc. It's flexible enough in a way that lets you tackle each moment like a puzzle with the use of a pretty neat skillsets that range from mobility, distraction, AoE and piercing line skills.

Only drawback with the system Is that the enemy variety and behavior seems lacking, with most enemies either shooting a beam at me or moving to me. But it's still satisfying figuring out the most efficient way to take down the baddies.

Should I go through the effort this year of trying to find people to make E3 threads or just make our chat room this year for system wars?

Just let Blab make them. I think he gets off on making fancy threads.

Not sure why anyone would rig it for the Cavaliers; they are a joke of a club. Sure there is the whole "LeBron coming back to Cleveland" but that's sensationalism at best.

If it were the Lakers or Celtics winning the lottery at this rate then I could somewhat believe it.

Was hoping it would be OKC vs Miami, but looks like it's gonna be Miami vs Spurs again, I'm honestly afraid of the Spurs...

Finished playing through Transistor for the first time. A little bit into the second play through with all limiters on. The game is pretty good and the battle system is pretty cool. I like it better than Bastion for what its worth.

Very few games have a soundtrack as good as this one...

Don't know if that's good or bad, lol :P

On another note, I beat BioShock 2 today. I was really disappointed with the last level in that game. It was too easy and there wasn't even a final boss. I have now started Gex: Enter the Gecko.

The reviews for X-Men: Days of Future Past. This HAS to be that movie to tell off that OTHER director for that third film (a director I can't stand).

haha it was good! It wasn't a bad twist like Shyamalan's recent movies like the Happening where you watch his movie for like 2 hours and the twist at the end is you losing brain cells lol

Holy **** Titanfall. Not being able to change factions in campaign, as well as being thrown into random matches (even though you chose a specific match) is really dumb.

Yea, their matchmaking options are poop. The game is a good first step but its really rough around the edges.

Hopefully they patch it, or at least fix it for the next title. It wouldn't be an issue, but I was going for 2 achievements, which require you to win each campaign match with both factions.
