It's the lounge you've always wanted, now prove yourselves in battle. Or not. ❤️

@Pedro: It was time for a new lounge. Leaving the previous with lots of post overtime can corrupt in a level of post. 3 Months is the minium we'll ask for a new lounge. Also, I left you a written response on your recommendation regarding prebuild PCs
@Pedro:
Think it's just a holdover from when lounge threads would get so huge they'd eventually break. But yeah no need these days, would take years to get to that point.
edit: Oh for the stuff you do, $3500 sounds like a steal in todays market. That's how much one of my builds cost in 2010 lol. Think my last build was more in $5k territory.
It's dirty. Mine settled at around $4000 CAD, so it's rough.
That being said, how did your belongings do?
The PCs have been destroyed. They were on when the sprinkler activated. The consoles may be ok but I am not holding my breath on longevity. The cleaning of smoke damage items was the worst. And I had to remove everything from my apartment because everyone is booked during the summer season. I am still moving shit out. It is also clear to me, that I have too much stuff. Way too much stuff. I feel like giving away about 80% of my belongings.
EDIT: Overall, things are good and thanks for asking.

Steal? Man, I like spending the absolute least for the most. I can't do that this time around. 😭

That genuinely sucks. Thankfully it was only material (which is still terrible). I'll tell you now, everybody has way too much shit and i'm a former mover.

That is why I want to get rid of most of that material shit. I was going through some of my things and I was "I didn't know I had this, or this and this. I haven't touch this in years and don't plan on in the future."
So, I am most likely going to give away a good chunk of stuff.
@davillain-: Was kind of expecting them to dig out Q because A) John de Lancie is still alive and B) People remember thing!
Could accuse the show of ruining Q, but they already kind of did in Voyager.
Likewise, movie Picard is more like, movie prickard.
The only thing I like from nutrek is looking at Sonequa Martin-Green' face. Rest can go in the trash-bin.
@Pedro:
Yeah suppose it's relative. I usually go completely overkill when I build a new workstation. Then ride it out for years only upgrading GPU periodically. Far from cost efficient up front, I'll admit.
Guess the $3.5k just seemed on the lower end with current costs.
Either way, sucks to come off that much cash when it wasn't something you wanted or planned for. Hope all this isn't setting you back too far.
Star Trek use to be better.
It's worse than dead now.
They've both turned to shite, it would seem.
Na. I think Starwars rather incorrectly gets the same stamp. Movies are shite, for sure. Animated shows dope. Mandalorian, good. Kind of gets put on a cross as the Jesus show that saved the franchise but compared to something like Clone Wars not that good.
Final 4 eps of Clone Wars are a animated masterpiece imo. Be surprised if Filoni and Co ever manage to surpass it.

I try not to do overkill because well it is a waste of money for me. I like to fully utilize and not under utilize 😉. At the moment I only need 32GB of RAM and preferably something with a higher CPU count than 8. Also, I can live with just 10GB of VRAM 😥 since I want a small case. I am not doing the big ass refrigerator style towers.
After the re-imbursement I am hoping the set back isn't too much. I will see if the insurance is trying to short change me in the coming weeks.
Thinking about it, Ghost kind of had a point. The timing for the Steam Deck could not have been better.
Edit: I enjoyed the Picard series though.
Legit gave it a fair shake, likewise with Discovery, hated season 1, willing to give season 2 a wack, as history has shown these shows typically excel after season 2 and indeed with many shows once their footing is found.
Nope.
Original Star wars trilogy with luke skywalker being protagonist is only good thing coming out of Star wars franchise. everything else suck.
never cared about star trek.
@nintendoboy16: Happy late Birthday. Go Go Power Rangers! Glad I'm able to watch the series on Netflix. Wish they could get the Power Rangers movie 2017 and to a degree, I actually like it.
Been still watching the Netflix version of the series with my younger brother, but thought it was worth adding to the collection.
Speaking of tokusatsu, I'm hoping one day the Toku Spider-Man gets a deal between Toei, Sony, and Disney to bring to the States before SpiderVerse 2 (which is going to feature that version of the character). I learned that inspired the giant mech (Megazord) concept in the genre.

The video game adaptation of Revenge Of The Sith lets the player change the outcome of the movie with "what if".
It's unfortunate more film to video game adaptations didn't do stuff like this. Even if the gameplay is shit, seeing these scenarios could at least be entertaining.
For all Enterprise problems love this scene. It's the most Star Trek shit that ever Star Trek'd.
And then you watch the pilot of Discovery where someone gets killed in the first 15 seconds and Sonequa Martin-Green sits there like a passive-aggressive tumblr user looking blankly into the abyss. And when they go for the zinger ship shot, weird militaristic music plays.
Very exciting.
@ghosts4ever: I have not watched it my friend. All I know is that Johnny Depp plays a gay pirate.
Is it good? Like Johnny Depp, he has the classic "good looks" but always goes for roles in the opposite direction, usually playing a weirdo.

they are very famous. im surprise you have not watched them. yes they are pretty good first 3. last 2 were bad.
Johnny depp play captain Jack sparrow who is one of the most iconic character.
Credits rolled on Yakuza Kiwami 2. I set out to play every game in this franchise via GamePass, and this game makes 4 down, 4 more to go.
So far, in order, I've completed:
Out of these 4, Yakuza Kiwami 2 is the best game in the series I've played thus far. The game has the best writing, story, cinematography, art direction.
Only cons were the combat system was a downgrade from Yakuza 0 and Kiwami 1 because of the engine change. That, and the game runs at 30fps which makes your brain scream after the buttery smooth framerate of Kiwami 1 and 0. That, plus the shitty combat system rework. (I played on Series X, but its locked on all platforms) From what I've read online, its the only game in the series that has yet to recieve framerate boost.
3 is up next, and I still have 4, 5, and 6 left to play. Then Judgement (which will probably be in GamePass by the time I get to it anyways. ) This franchise has dominated my gaming time for the past month and a half.
@StrongDeadlift: So many people are getting into the series since it hit Gamepass, and I'm glad. I'll be playing the remasters too as soon as I finish Like a Dragon.
Finally got around to play Sleeping dogs on PC. Bought it 2013-14 but forgot I had it. Great game, should have bought a PS edition as would love to platinum it. Uses the DS4 controller and weirdly the R2 button dont work when playing the camera capture minigame. Had to remap the button to something else. Weird bug.
@sakaixx: Sleeping Dogs is awesome. You played the best version though so you're good. That is a weird glitch, never had that issue and I used a DS4 as well.
@lundy86_4: Good pick with the ultimate edition cause Miles alone is a short game and not worth the price imo.
@Pedro: That's a sizable market to lose out on, so one would think. With government being responsible, I bet the little man is getting punished due to lack of proper infrastructure.
How would the little man be getting punished?
They can't purchase the high-end hardware, or are severely limited in purchasing options. Dell/Alienware is already limiting sales, and cancelling orders already made.

The little man are already being priced out of the market with inflated prices. I am not sure how this change is going to make much of a difference. Unless you are referring to specific industries.

What? This is limiting even the sale of a piece of hardware, as opposed to scalping/AIB pricing.

I know it is limiting the sale of the hardware. I guess I should have been more specific in my question as in who are you referring to when you say little man? The average person/particular industry etc.
