not really... its just a time where no games come out in the summer. friggen every system has had one recently. Stupid developers and their business ethics! actually the summer for the 360 looks pretty good. You got Mass Effect in May/June, who knows what in july, and then Bioshock and Blue Dragon. The wii looks like it'll be hurting, PS3, I don't really care.

A drought is a substantial period of time in which nothing of note is released for a given system. Nintendo is the KING of the game drought. They have been since the N64. Looks like they will continue to hold the crown this time around with the Wii. How anyone could get by with only a Nintendo system has always amazed me.

Agreed. But games with superior versions on other systems and ports of games that have already been out for a long time shouldn't count either. Like Oblivion wouldn't clasify as ending a game drought because that game has already been out forever. But a game like GRAW2 on PS3 could end a drought because it hasn't been on 360 that long.

No. it's when there are little/no games worth purchasing over the span of a few months. All we have to do is look at the GameCube as our quintessential example of the word "drought", because it had them early and often.

i wouldn't say it's a drought though... motorstorm helped that, but it's still only got three major exclusives, two of which are racers

as far as exclusives: theres no superior multi plats, only ONE non racer exclusive with def jam i'd say theres a lack of support, specifically from third party exclusives(barely any in q1 and q2) not to mention a two month wait until the next exclusive...

i still wouldn't give VF5 too much credit, this is okay NOW but it's not going to convince people to buy a ps3 when it's coming to the 360 anyways all sega did was give them a game sooner than the 360... do they have any actual exclusives for the ps3 planned for the entire year?

i own a 360 with my wii and im living off rainbow six and a little of halo 2 with a mix of my wii games. i can manage the drought for both systems.
I own a GameCube, so I know first hand what owning a Nintendo console is like. Fortunately, I own other systems too. :)GG7
Buddy you don't know what a drought is if you didn't have an N64. Two games at launch, than nothing for several months? Good god. Just a bit of history to put things into perspective.
