Switch owners, do you bother with a protective case?

I don't really want to get a case, but it's probably going to bite me in the butt. I just put it in that sleeve it came in, then put that in my backpack.

Yes, it helps with handheld mode which is super uncomfy on the hands.

The plastic case I bought shapes it more like the superior Game Gear.

Rarely use handheld mode though, only if games look super shit.

It was a while back, but it was either this or something very similar to it.

I paid $11 for my case. Worth it for peace of mind and convenience of extra carry space for games, charger, drugs, etc.

I do. When I'm not at home, I put armor on it and put it in a zip up carrying case.

I put a screen protector on but otherwise no, no protection for when I’m actually playing. I do have a carrying case albeit.

Works very well.

I would. I think mine was 15 bucks. Totally worth it, and it can hold extra games, lens wipe, etc.

Just got a tempered glass screen cover at Gamestop. I haven't opened it yet, because I'm still thinking about other options.

I also asked if they had any blue left-sided joycons, because I had to replace mine a couple of months ago. It wouldn't stay locked, a common problem. I still have the 5 dollar warranty and don't like how both of mine are now red. Anyway, I tried their joycon on my Switch and discovered that the lock was broken. I tell the employee it's defective. He asks if I want it. I tell him again that it's defective. He asks me again if I'll be taking it. I tell him no. Someone is gonna pay 38 dollars and tax for that piece of junk, because Gamestop is so cheap.

LOL, hooray for frugality I suppose.

There are many nice, cheap cases out there in the range of $10-15 that can hold the system as well as games, cables, etc. I got one but since I play my Switch pretty much exclusively in bed it's never in it, but is great when traveling. A screen protector is a nigh necessity though. I've already had an accident that would've split the screen down the middle had it not impacted the protector first, or at least left a decent nick in the top. You can't go wrong with these. Come in two and really easy to apply.

I got a glass screen protector to protect my screen from the dock that Nintendo designed. I'm glad I did so the scuff marks on the bottom corners aren't permanent.

I haven't, no. Don't travel with it much, but stuffing it in my shoulder bag hasn't been an issue when I do. No scratches.

Its biggest danger is my cat, who thinks it's the tablet we gave her to play cat games on, and will sometimes pounce it

Mine stays docked 99% of the time, so I haven't bothered. If I were to take it on-the-go, then I would absolutely buy a protective case. They're cheap as chips.

I use a tempered glass screen protector, and whenever I play handheld, I use the Satisfye grip.

I highly recommend the Satisfye grip btw. It makes such a difference. It has almost completely stopped my hand cramps!

Yes, bought an official case at launch. Really useful when you want to put it in a bag.

Just a case for travel. I'm starting to move away from screen protectors.

I do have a case but I don't use it too often. If I'm going to throw my Switch into a bag I'll put it in a case, but I'm not doing that too often.

I got a hardcase one. My Switch still managed to get a scratch on its screen while I was walking to work with it in my bag. It will forever be a mystery to me how that happened. (maybe I just haven't seen the scratch and it came from the dock? I dunno ... I'll never find out)

Mine sits unused in its dock 99% of the time, so no need for a traveling case (though protection from that cheap-ass dock itself would be nice if I used it more). Once Rune Factory 5 comes out though I foresee some on-the-go action.

I bought the breath of the wild edition switch which came with a Zelda themed carrying case. That's how I roll...

All my handhelds have a protective case and screen protectors.
