Do you guys think that a sequel to Ni No Kuni 2 wouldn't be a possibility if Ghibli stopped making films?

NnK was a Level 5 developed game, with Studio Ghibli just providing the animated cutscenes. If something like this were to happen, Level 5 could always just outsource the cutscenes to some other studio or media house, like they have done for all of their other games.

I also want to point out, NnK was a drag, and I wouldn't be at all disappointed if we never got a sequel. However, if you did want one, rest assured in knowing that Stdio Ghibli's exit would not impact the likelihood of one.

@charizard1605: I actually thought NNK was mediocre, I only enjoyed because of Ghibli and the fact they had Joe Hisashi as the composer (his work is magical). If they didn't get Ghibli's team back for a second round I wouldn't even bother trying it.

@MonsieurX: It isn't Miyazaki but the company as a whole.

I pretty sure he was serious this time, and even commented that the studio closing was bound to happen soon. It sad to see it closing their production, but well it had a amazing run that will leave a mark in entertainment history.

This is sad news, but with Miyazaki out, it was kind of a matter of time.

Basically my thoughts on it. Also while its sad to see anyone go out of buisness I personally never been a big fan of theirs. I saw howls moving castle and while it had nice visuals it didint do anything for me. though sucks for those who really enjoyed their films.

Miyazaki's son just can't pick up from his fathers legacy, they get the art style right but the stories he tries to tell are nowhere near the same quality.

They haven't made a truly great film since 2006 so meh.

Maybe this will hurry them up to get all the classics and shorts onto Blu-Ray in the West.

@Star0: I would agree if it weren't for Wind Rises.....then again that was Miyazaki so....
Even though that man is pretty cynical, he is realistic and I can see where he is coming from.

@SonicNextGen2:

I apologise. I haven't seen that one yet. I gave up looking for that one a while back. Where did you see it?

I personally loved NNK, so I do hope a sequel gets made. I do agree it dragged on at times though. Needs to be a bit more exciting and engaging.
