Sweet, the CoD of fighting games is back. I’ll buy it at half price closer to the holidays.

Great to see SF6 score well for the fans but for me, I'm skipping this and favoring Tekken 8 as it looks to be the next big thing. I'll pick up SF6 down the road on a sale.

Also picking up Mortal Kombat 1 anyway.

SFV was free on PSN (Thank you Sony) but even for $0 it was not worth my time.

Looking forward to Tekken 8, the real fighting game.

Congrats Capcom. I'm still playing TotK like crazy, but I'm going to pick up SF6 this weekend anyway.

Just as the recent success of RE4 Remake made Capcom the undisputed king of the survival horror genre, it seems they've done the same with the 2D fighting game genre. I'm now convinced that "Capgod" is the real deal, haha.

I'd probably not play online a lot, and my irl friends don't play fighting games anymore. I'd probably not touch the open world SP part either as it looks pretty lame, and I'd probably get annoyed by its DLC, so spending 60 bucks on it might be a bit of a waste for me.

Weird, in my head still think of the SF2 days with this being the "big franchise", but both Tekken and Mortal Kombat stomp on it when it comes to reach.

Wish I was better at fighters. I tried about 70 hours of SFV but I just could not get good at enough of those combos to really enjoy the game myself. Oh well, not for me. I'll just stick to Smash Bros.

I'll wait for the Super SFVI Alpha Omega Extreme Plus Turbo edition... and when that's on sale.

Eventually. You had to do a lot of waiting though. I learned that the hard way as I had bought several of the characters/stages through the years. One of my biggest gaming sins was how much I spent overall on SFV....Ugh. Buyer's remorse.

For me, when I play, over the course of what? 3 years.

Basically played 3 characters regularly max.

Of course subjective person to person, sure people who dip into and grind every single character.

But just on my end, a lot of this stuff don't need to bother with.

They should though at the very least, even when not purchasing characters, allow you to use them in the training room as it is an actual advantage to other players if you don't.

@uninspiredcup: Yeah I was a stupid eager fucking idiot with SFV and I regret it. The only time I ever participated in an in-game store and I am ashamed of it because it wasn't even worth it all. Sure some of the stages you bought were neato but in the end, I stuck with Chun-Li and just played a bunch of arcade mode when it finally came. I beat some ppl online but I was and am hot garbage at this and any fighter.

Man I feel old. I still remember the time I saw the first Street Fighter game, way back in 1987!

@Litchie: Apparently it's like MVC where it's easier but you are excluded from using higher damage stuff.

Not sure really call it "idiot mode", as you could be absolutely a god as execution of input but still garbage at the game if not using your noggin', if people think it's just spamming combos FTW then they are in for a bad time.

For people like Brolylegs imagine it's quite useful, but I bet even he won't opt to use it if it results in unoptimized stuff.

What it will probably be good for is helping people understand concept of character archetypes.

Just realized 6 months later Ryus design is based off Oro.

Seems like Street Fighter 6 on PC is very crash prone, based on Steam Reviews. It might be best to get this on console.
