Steam/PSN/XBL Summer Sales - Are you excited?

Summer sale is a good time to buy DLC at a reasonable price. Which is, close to 0.

I don't ever buy DD games at full price, so these sales all year are the only times I bite. I am not thrilled on DD ownership issues, so I make sure it's dame worth it when I bite. Same for DLC.

I'm not excited, this is just when I buy DD games if I decide to buy at all. I also buy at Spring, Fall, and Xmas sales as well. It's just another season where the floodgates open for gamers like me.

When I see a game I want, like a FTL, Cave Story, Fat Princess, Braid, Limbo, Flower, Bastion, Walking Dead, Street Fighter HD, Mark of the Ninja, PixelJunk, Duck Tales, Journey, Marvel Vs. Capcom 2, Super Meatboy, Portal, Torchlight 1/2, Terraria, Spelunky, Trine 1/2, State of Decay, or whatever I put it on a list and wait for a sale. I always get it on sale, every time.

Now that I got PS+, I make damn well sure for a sale. I always get the game, but I always get a sale as well.

There is absolutely no reason people should pay those high $15-$20 prices for non-resell-able DD games especially. I have the money, but after being burned over and over, I changed my buying habits out of principle.

I recommend you guys do the same...but I know I'm swimming upstream when preaching in SW. :P

Never even crossed my mind. There's some stuff I'd like to see go on sale on XBL though.

Tbh, not really. I have all the major releases from this year and last Fall already so there isn't much for me to buy. These are the games I currently have on my Steam wishlist that I will buy during the sale:

• Dust: An Elysian Tail
• Bit.Trip Runner 2
• Rising Storm
• Dishonored: The Knife of Dunwall
• Trials Evolution
• The Swapper
• Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon

I'll likely enjoy all of these games but none of them have me really excited

I'm keeping my eyes open for co-op games though. If there are some cool ones then I will be encouraging every PC SW user to buy it too for reasons

I know some PS1 games are on sale, I picked up C&C red alert for £1.99 and I know resident evil 1,2,3 was like £6 which was tempting but i already own them all on gamecube

I have 135 titles on my Steam List... I just did a count... I've only played 48 of those 135 games on Steam. Granted 10 or so I played on 360 and later picked them up, just to have them on PC, like Mass Effect, etc.

So yeah... I'll probably buy some more.

Why?

Picked up Assassin's Creed III today at Amazon for 10. Really only looking out for a few games. A Steam version of Anno 2070, Far Cry 3 + Blood Dragon, Skyrim, Devil May Cry and Dirt 3.

DD on consoles is a no no.

True. Although it's not everything as once. Usually specific publishers, series and so fourth day by day.

I gonna be snatching a ton of indie games on Steam and maybe some blockbuster titles. I never really see too much on 360 or PSn that entice me. Maybe Splelunky will be on sale on XBL. We will see.ArisShadows

Same, I wanna get a bunch of smaller games like Terarria,Antichamber,Fez and maybe Kerbal space programme depending on how cheap it goes

Let me do you a favor then and reveal my true intentions...

I buy all the DD games day one and I love it so much. I don't even have time to play them. I just buy them because I have the money and I love to say I own them. Sometimes I put DD games on DVD discs and skeet shoot them while Jeeves makes me bagels.

Stop waiting on DD deals and join me on my crusade to buy DD games day one at full price.There is money burning in our collective pockets, let us rid ourselves of that earthly worldly money, and get rich in games together.

That is the 2013 shocker of the year. You electing to NOT spend money on a game?

What's next? Don't say piracy because I know you would never encourage that. :P PC enables select habits with some gamers, and once it's turned on, there may be no going back. :P

I do appreciate the Rogue Legacy mention, that game deserves exposure. It reminds me of Castlevania Symphony of the Night meets Ghosts and Goblins with a neat "Legacy" twist. Pretty sweet.
