It's fine now. What I love about Steam sales is that pretty much every game you search for is heavily discounted. Just picked up Life is Strange and Mark of the Ninja for under £7.

Picked up Hitman(finished the 1 chapter, and its great!) and Shadow warrior 2 so fare, also looking to get GoG from telltale and Nier:automate. And yeah will probaly end up buying a few random games aswell:)
Anyone tried superhot btw? Looks a bit weird, but have it on my wishlist for some reason:)

It's a cool game, but the main "story" is only like 2 hours. There is an endless mode and some timed modes after that
Most of the major games don't drop below 70% now. But the slighter older or obscure smaller games get huge discounts. It's pretty great espcailly if you don't care how old a game is. Some asshole games are overpriced to begin with, so even with a discount is bog standard UK price.
Picked up crap, mostly not games.

Yeah, that's a blatant lie. Unless you only search for like two games that are several years old and everybody has already played them.
I'm really interested in Tyranny but I heard that the developer raised their prices before the Summer Sale so that the discount looks bigger.

Except they didn't.
You heard wrong.

Are you sure about that?

I'm not reading all of that, what is your point ?
I've seen the prices before the summer sales and I've seen them now on the summer sales.
I did not see any change.
Well, I got with: LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga (which is technically a third dip for me and owning LSW I, II, and Complete Saga on Wii), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen 2, Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver, Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 2, Legacy of Kain: Defiance, Tron 2.0, Rogue Legacy.
Starting to play LEGO Star Wars, there is seriously NO WAY (that I can see) to customize with mouse controls. Time to dig out the 360 controller.

Not really. Practically everything I searched for last night was discounted by quite a lot.
This is my first sale since I bought a gaming rig
Anything else I should add?

165 out of 216 games on my wishlist are on sale.
@funsohng: I know the community sh*t the bed about price changes in various places recently and created a storm of **** but I love stellaris.

Actually somebody gifted me that game not too long ago. I'm contemplating whether I should buy DLCs, but I really don't want to spend money on Paradox stuff until they f*cking get a grip.
@funsohng: How about Dishonored 2 & Mafia 3?
Need to beat Dishonored 1 first, and while Mafia 3 seem tempting just to piss of champ, I don't think I will play it after what Mafia 2 was like.

Hitman
@mjorh: Since you like Himtan games, I only played Absolution which I enjoy despite it was my first Hitman game I ever played. Any other Hitman games you recommend?
Oh you haven't played Blood Money?
Definitely play Blood Money, you'll love it ?

Sounds good to me. I'll look into Blood Money, thanks.
Paradox is rolling back their prices after the backlash from fans, but it will happen after the sales. So, they are saying don't buy the games now, though if you do, they will allow a full refund.
Hitman
Maybe. I still have Contracts, Blood Money and Absolution to play. Also, I always find stealth games too hard for me to play, always get caught for some reason.

Contracts is awesome. It's abit shorter than the other ones but it's much darker in tone, Meat King's Party alone is worth the price of admission.
Sooo... I seem to be getting a bug that messed up my sale trading card drops. Apparently, I got 13 cards I wasn't supposed to have, and now Steam counts them all towards my future card drops, which means I won't be earning any cards until I "pay off" those 13 cards through browsing the discovery queue or buying games. I've been browsing Steam forums to find out what was happening, and apparently this has happened before.
Just putting it out there in case someone got this too. Apparently, just earn enough cards to make up for those 13 cards and you're fine.
Edit: What. The. F***. I happened to be checking my badge progress and saw that I still had three card drops on the sale event, so I tried the discovery queue again just for the Hell of it, and now all of a sudden 3 cards appeared. Steam is messed up right now.
@funsohng: Nice man, lots of quality RTS on there :)
Plus Sniper Elite 3 is really awesome too !
______
I don't plan to buy that much this sale, maybe I'll save up for some new releases later this year :)
But I did have my eyes on and bought:
Perhaps I wanted a return to 90s FPS, dunno, but these games are really brilliant. Made by indie teams they really invigorate that feeling of old school FPS where it's not really about context or having a good story, it's more about giving you a bunch of bad guys to shoot and lots of fun weapons to use.
Shadow Tictacs: Blades of the Shogun is also great. 25% off at the moment. It's hardcore stealth, topdown. Like the old commando's.
So far I caught Headlander for like $4, and VA-11 Hall-A Cyberpunk Bartender Action.
Well, after agonizing for days about what I'm going to buy - not because there was nothing to buy but because I had too many things I wanted to buy - I settled on a "two lists" plan: first I will buy things I was 100% going to buy anyway, and then come back later for the "Additional Buys" when I've made up my mind. So anyway, here's my final "100% Buys" list:
All of them. I've played seven Total War games, and this is the first time I've ever bought DLCs for one. Ultra hyped for Total War: Warhammer II. Lizardmen!
Couldn't redeem the free version for some stupid reason, which became especially annoying with Darksiders III announced.
Played Starpoint Gemini 2. Loved it, atrocious voice acting aside. It's like the Freelancer spiritual successor I've always wanted. Been following this since the beginning of Early Access. So far, so very good. I would encourage anyone who like single player space simulators like Freelancer and the X games to give this a try. Just... ...mute the volume when anyone in the game speaks.
My "Additional Buys" list currently contains just one game: Nier: Automata. This thing was like 5% short of being on the 100% list. Alas, 5% short was 5% too much. Still, if I could not work up the balls to buy anything else, at least I'll definitely pick this up before the end of the sale.
I picked up half life 2 as it was only 99 cents. That's the most I most likely would spend this year as i got other games to finish
