The Steam Summer Sale has started (and Steam hasn't crashed yet)
So post what you're buying, or tell us what everyone else should buy if they want to be real hardcore true gamers
Bwahahahaha!!! It's down, as I knew it would be. I'll come back later when it works properly.
Where is all the fun stuff ?
Like collecting coal ?
Or doing community achievements or voting on games ?
Now we have stickers, what's that about ? :p
During the brief time I was able to try it, you do stuff they ask you to do, like view a friend's activity feed, and you get stickers to slap on the pages of the sticker book. If you fill every page, you get... ...something? I did get 12 trading cards from completing my first "quest," though, so that was cool.

Yeah, it's slow as molasses currently... Missed out on a bunch of games because of funds earlier, so now I can see if what I wanted is discounted.
Looks like they're still trying to put all those discounts up. For example, Prey is not discounted in my wishlist, but discounted on the store page. Give it some time.
Now to play the waiting game...
Not looking for anything, the existence of my current backlog already ravages my soul.
GMG, humble and even PSN/XBL are way better. Steam sale sucks.
PSN/XBL tend to be on par with Steam sales but are rarely better. Admittedly, Steam deals aren't as nutty as they used to be.
You can get better deals on Steam keys, though, from a myriad of places. Even Amazon will offer better deals than Steam.
Gonna buy some VR games for when my Vive arrives. If they go on sale. Other than that I got a really long wishlist but... not really feeling any of them at the moment... So that's a weird time for a sale to arrive.
I'm making a good VR game list and this is where I'm at:
The Lab (free)
Google Earth VR (free)
Digital Cybercherries Real Virtual Arcade (free)
Richie's Plank Experience (fear of heights)
Rick & Morty Virtual Rick-ality (I like their humor)
TheBlu
Soundstage
Superhot VR
Hot Dogs, Horseshoes and Hand Grenades (I hear the dev is real serious about making it the best gun sim)
I could play Subnautica and Elite:Dangerous in VR cause I got those games. Maybe The Climb would be a better choice than Richie's Plank Experience to combat fear of heights?
Those are my only 2 games I'm buying today and will post later on what else I might buy.
If anyone's interest and never played Shadow of Mordor Shadow of Mordor GOTY is $3.99. That's a steal right there and I play that game back on PS4. Get it while it's good.

I was planning to buy Shadow of War Gold Edition
My list:
I am Setsuna
Resident Evil 7
Tyranny
Dark Souls 2 - Buying this now. $15 CAD? hell yeah.
Idk if it matters but the current humble monthly is DS2. It's 12 USD and you get DS2 immediately upon purchase

Anyone know if they've finally fixed Dishonored 2? It's 50% off and I'm kinda tempted.
Anyone knows what the other quest are? I currently only managed to unlock two of those.
Here's the list as shown to me:

I totally recommend:
I have a crazy amount of hours in both games, their multiplayer is just so much fun.

TBH Dishonored and Mafia are some of my favourite games of last year.
They got a lot of hate for some reason, but when they are their best, they just pull you in.
I just love both games' settings.
Ack! I already have 8 items on my cart and seeing how much money I'm going to spend to buy them all is already giving me a heart ache. But I must... ...press... ...on.
So... what about that Dishonored 2, you guys? Also, what about Redout? Looks like a fine F-Zero clone - wonder if anyone played it...
Ack!

OK thanks.

40% off of Stein's Gate. If you never tried a Visual Novel and want to give them a chance, or if you like Visual Novels, it's highly recommended.
Steamworld Heist also highly recommended if you like turn based rpg. It's a lovely bite sized very original turn based game.
Need some recommendations? Here are some from the good folks over at Rock, Paper, Shotgun. Here are some of my favourites:
Torment: Tides of Numenera for £17.49/$22.49 – A sad man falls out of the sky and must read 2 million words to discover why
Transistor for £2.24/$2.99 – A talking sword and a mute woman form a special bond when they discover they both enjoy murdering
Wolfenstein: The New Order for £7.49/$9.99 – A comatose soldier wakes up in a panic, but is quickly reassured by a nearby doctor, who tells him everything is alt right
Grand Theft Auto V for £19.99/$24.99 – Three misfits try to modify their world for the better, but are impeded by overzealous men in suits
Teeheehee.
Grand Theft Auto V for £19.99/$24.99 – consumers try to modify their gaming world for the better, but are impeded by overzealous and greedy publishers
fixed?

fixed?
Yeah, mate. That's exactly what the original line implies.

Don't worry guys, it got negative ratings on Steam. No one will buy it now
Tempted by This War is Mine. Would anyone recommend it and does it work with a controller? I currently have a better TV than monitor.

Nope. No one at all. Won't even make the first page of the Steam global Top Sellers list...
Oh.
