I just bought Doom Eternal year one pass ( Which includes The Ancient Gods Part 1 and 2 DLC) on sale.
Well?

Steam summer sale is a scam to sell you shovelware that you will never even install. I ignore it since the very beginning, and if a game interests me, i am not waiting a certain time of the year to buy it.
@R4gn4r0k: It's more hard than Doom Eternal ??? And BTW does the collectibles as cheat code discs carry over to the DLC? I will install it this weekend.
Oh man I went on a spree yesterday. Got myself:
Metal Gear Rising Reveangance
Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3
SFV Champion Edition + Season 5 Pass
Tetris Effect Connected
Tiny Lands (less than $3!!!)
Seriously guys, Tiny Lands is fucking great. A very simple "what's the difference" game but a very relaxing time killer! The kind of smaller game that I like to play as a break from larger games.
Will be getting Black Mesa for sure as it's super cheap. Never played the original Half-Life so I'd like to give the remake a go at some point.
Get the Half life 1 Anthology (Blue Shift, Oppossing Force, OG Half Life ) first over Black Mesa.

Multiple barons of hell, supercharged barons of hell.
Multiple Maruaders, three marauders
Oh you're gonna have a jolly good time!
Abstaining this year unless I see something really amazing that I know I will play immediately.
I recently reformatted my computer and I am trying to keep a bare minimum of games installed and playing them until finished.
Just trying to spend fewer hours on the PC and actually finish the games I install. I have a bad habit of "dabbling", spending a few hours with something and getting the basic idea and then moving on to the next game.

It's really good and faithful to the original, though it does add in some stuff and make some subtle changes. I really appreciated their artistic interpretations, it didn't feel like they were trying to make it too much their own thing but it was still more than a basic frame-for-frame remake.
Hard to explain, it was like you're playing it and "Oh, I remember this. OOOOH AND THIS! This I remember. But wait...what have we here? Hmmmmm....oh I see now. Clever clever..." haha
Absolutely nothing. Eh, it is what it is I guess. I have everything I wanted and had fun with plenty of steam sales in the past but there is either so much garbage or the discounts are too little. Also a lot of indies in my wishlist that haven't come out yet but that's ok.

I was watching a Black Mesa Let's Play and they have completely overhauled the Xen levels. One could argue they've added too much Xen content. At one point I felt like I had enough and I wasn't even playing.

That's the best kind of remake IMO. Bringing an older game to modern visual and/or gameplay standards but also adding some flavour and a few surprises along the way.

As much as I recognize the original's value, it's way too old for my taste at this point.
Not likely to get anything. I just bought FF7R and psychonauts 2 (which i have yet to start. I need to play the first one first). MH:R Sunbreak next week then Xenoblade 3 at the end of July. So it's quite a bust time for me.
I'm also hoping for further GPU price drops so i can finally take the plunge on a new PC (The 6800XT and 3080 12GB just will not budge much where i am. but i am patient.).
I didnt buy anything on steam but rather some steam keys on fanatical that has way better deals
I bought:
Bayonetta
Vanquish
Metal Gear Rising Revengeance
Doom 3 (original)
F.E.A.R.
Tomb Raider: Legend
Tomb Raider: Anniversary
Tomb Raider: Underworld
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2
Silent Hill: Homecoming
All for around 25€, give or take. I'm selling cards in order to buy Titanfall 2 wich is in an amazing deal right now on steam
Edit: Add Ori and the Blind Forest on the list so around 30€ of total spending by now. I better stop
Edit 2: Went ahead and also bought KOTOR II and Kane and Lynch 2 for more 2,5€. Now I'm definitely done
Picked up the Halo Collection. And then realized I was playing Halo, so I refunded it.
Pick up Powerslave instead.
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate (also have on 360)
Onimusha Warlords Remastered (also have on Switch)
Azure Striker Gunvolt (also have on 3DS and Switch)
@R4gn4r0k: I've came to realize, aside from Cortana's ass (which they've probably hidden in later games because fun is bad) I don't like Halo. Esp after immediately coming off Blood: Fresh Supply, so fucking boring in comparison.
OT: Dropped Powerslave as have a ton of retro FPS to play atm and picked up the Castlevania Advanced Collection.
Usually I avoid paying for roms, but in this case, at £11, basically buying the convenience. Ok with that.

I'm still playing San Andreas and nearing the end now.
CJ walks into a military base to steal one of their high tech planes, is getting shot at and a soldier walks up to him, punches him, to which CJ responds:
"Ey, fool, don't punch me."
San Andreas sets up a black character that's also a badass without making him whiney as **** and making him go: "Please feel sorry for me, I'm black and have it so rough"
Fun is bad these days.
You played Blood Fresh Supply until the end?
@R4gn4r0k: Yes, the expansions fairly meaty, clock in about the same length as the main game. For £4 (or whatever currency) pretty much a steal.
Mostly excellent. Only really flounders when it comes to anything involving water or enemies that can fly. The hit-scan enemies become a pain in the ass in some levels.
@uninspiredcup:
Interesting. I wonder if they are both equally good or if one is better than the other. On Steam it has both the Nightdive console remaster and the classic computer DOS version so at least there are some options for people to buy which version is for them. But the console remaster looks very fun so I might try out that one first.
Definitely about to buy Death Stranding, just deciding on what else. Leaning towards Chorus and Total War: Three Kingdoms DLCs, but not 100% on that.
I had some things in my cart but didn't check out because I have a lot to keep me busy already
I noticed the first Deathsmiles is cheap tho
I wish they would port the mobile version. The controls were great and there were some nice gameplay extras
