Steam Deck releasing in Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and Hong Kong

Hope Steam Deck sell well in Japan If it does we should get more Japanese's pc ports and more quality Japanese's pc ports that hopefully aren't censored.

I got mine recently, its a great device.

I hope it opens the eyes of a lot of cusuals at how much of a POS the Switch is when it comes to hardware AND controls. Its like a god damn toy in comparison. An adult is not supposed to play with toys, so leave it to your kid.

You're not even worth answering. Considering with how slow anything Deck is and with Switch being 110+ million as we speak. Plus, good luck getting the damn thing to sell in Hong Kong (because of the PRC and it's ever growing grip on the region) and Japan (who have disliked many American products that aren't Apple, Star Wars or some western adaptations of their tokusatsu)

@hardwenzen: It's a cool device, but they will need to release a smaller model with better battery life to crowd out the Switch.

To please Japan, they most likely will. When this happens, what's the point of the Switch? Without even talking about the power and the pathetic memory inside the Switch, the controls are unacceptable. Its the clunkiest controls on any "controller" that i've held. Literally made for a child. I have small'ish hands, and its really annoying to use. I can only imagine how it is for those who have hairy massive sausage fingers😥

@hardwenzen: Easiest thing to do is use a grip-case for the Switch to make it easier to hold, or you can buy third party joy-cons which are bigger than standard joy-cons.

Never tried that, but we shouldn't be buying anything. It should be comfy out of the box. Look at dualsense and the X's controller. Both almost perfect in every way. And the Deck controller is also amazing (extra amazing considering its a handheld).

They have, about a month ago I believe they've doubled the amount of orders they can fulfill in a week. Just recently they said all Steam Deck already pre-ordered will ship out this year (they've had a bunch that were after Q4). At this rate I think we can maybe expect them to ramp it up even further soon, maybe next year you'll be able to just buy one right away.

@hardwenzen: I'll agree the joycons are a bit small. I tend to go with the Pro controller when playing at home.

Pro contoller is nice though. It's my go to for non-racing Steam games as well.

I really want to order one, I'm just not sure which one to get. I'm thinking about the 64gb version. I can just use a micro card for more storage right? Storage and an ssd is the only difference between the 64 and 256 right?

I've always felt like Nintendo products are more toy than console. I don't mean that in a judgmental sense, just saying it's different is all.

As for the whole "adults don't play with toys", meh...times have changed. Animation for adults, adults play with LEGOs, they play airsoft and paintball...I think a lot of things these days are fine for adults to play with.

I've been on a wait list for several months. I hope they know they will probably be waiting a year or longer...

Got mine today and it’s the best portable I have ever had.

My reservation came in last weekend and I just let it go, I'm not itching to have yet another console in the house. Cool looking device though.
