It's really great we are actually getting red-headed heroes in the West now. People talk about diversity, but really, how many male red headed lead characters can you think of that aren't from Japan?

Think the combat will probably be better than people are making out, but the scripted shit like slidey shoot and "run in a line" while fake tension explosion happen looks pretty garbage, we can thank Naughty Dog for that.
Perfect timing to renew my EA Origin Premier to play Jedi Fallen Order and my hype level is higher cause it's time for a brand new Star Wars single player game to rise up. I'm not all too worry about the lack if dismembering either, Mods will fix that so we can say screw off to Disney.
I am, guardedly, somewhat hopeful for this title.
I have 100% confidence in Respawn's ability to deliver a great game. However, I have about 10% in confidence in EA to allow this to happen.
I really enjoyed the huge cross section of alien species in this clip, too, it really shows they're going all-in with the lore imo. It won't just be "humans plus a hot twilek or two, and maybe some random aliens in the background" like most Star Wars stuff.

I'm hoping it takes subtle influence from soulsborne type games without incorporating all the difficulty and trial and error and stuff I dislike about soulsborne games. That genre boasts some really nice combat but I don't like the overall approach to gameplay as a whole; would just like to see the combat mechanics added to more games.
That nose and redhead combination reminds me of Cubert Farnswortth. So lame that video game heroes aren't allowed to be sexy anymore.
Needs gore/dismemberment. Feels like he's hitting them with a fucking bat.
Cameron Monaghan is a pretty good character, EA was wise to cast him. And again, great to have some red-hair representation. Something overlooked because it's not a race or sexual preference, even though it's still clearly objectively prejudice.

yeah f*ck EA
maybe i'll pick it up when it hits a $6 sale price, just like when i got Battlefront 2 for $6
Meh, kinda looks promising because it has a lot aliens in it. I don't know many aliens in this game but one of them was what looks like a mirialan. It's the one with the yellow face.
Also, Chris Avellone is main writer in this game. So, the story will probably be really good. It's better than having some unknown Disney writer.

Cutting to Shrek after dramatically shouting "nooo", wasn't the best idea.
@uninspiredcup: Horizon Zero Dawn is one of PS4's biggest games and MC is definitely a redhead. I get what you're saying, though, because there aren't many redheaded heroes these days in video games. This game looks really promising, though. I'll be picking it up near launch even if it is an EA game
I'm not going to lie, this actually looks like it is shaping up rather nicely. I hope I'm not wrong... I had KotOR vibes when I saw first glimpses of the game, and those have faded which bummed me out, but I am liking what I see so far either way. Looks like it might actually have a cool story behind it.
@valgaav_219: Red haired woman typically are used as exoticism. Gaming tends to sexualize them more as a default, where males tend to be designed around an idealised version of masculinity.
Since, history past and present has been defamatory towards men with auburn hair, without attachment words like "racism" or "sexism", no one really defends it, and thus is typically not associated with the idealised concept of a man. Japan an exception which is far more accepting of effeminate qualities (this not implying red hair is intrinsically effeminate).
The people watching this (i.e. Resetara) and saying "oh another white dude", might as well be saying "all black people look the same" as that's the exact logic they are using, which itself, is racist.
As someone from a country where much of the population, influenced by weather has an abnormal amount of red-headed people produced, this is a noticeably rare thing to see.

It seems to be deliberately invoking Jedi Knight for the title art-work.
The trailer also appears to vaguely indicate it will be following the Jedi Knight Outcast formula of letting the player choose missions than a set-linear path. But perhaps that's easily reading too much into it.
Doubt it will be as good as Jedi Knight, that level design expecting the player to think is a big no-no these days. Be very hand-holding.

Jokes aside, she is the Ninth Sister. So, more like Princess Fiona in ogre form.
Now, I don't know much about this new mumbo-jumbo new canon they recently added but this game is small part of the recently added cannon.
Another gross looking black woman.
But the main character looks fun.
Something wrong with Black woman's eyes.
@freedomfreak: "Another gross looking black woman."
?
He's just implying she looks like ET, nobody likes looking at ugly people, we play video games to get away from them.
Capcom understand this fact and consequently profits.

There are real life hot black women.
@ronvalencia: Very true.
They deliberately use unattractive actors because progressives can relate to them, and stops an internal sense of deep resentment.
