The beta put me off, or i'd be playing this on PC. I'm not all that surprised this is doing well on PS4 given the success of the console, the fact that it's Star Wars, and Sony's advertising rights.

You say the exact same thing every time an FPS game comes out. I guess, PS4 has just become the natural home of FPS games.

I believe he is pointing out that CS:GO is the most popular FPS on PC. There are usually a ton of players there.

Also, don't PC gamers hate Origins? I figure that's a major obstacle if it's Origin's exclusive. Would probably do much better if released on competing digital retail services.

Also, PS4 has like less than 50% more players for twice the user base isn't that impressive especially since they don't have Rise of the Tomb Raider and Halo 5 goddess to distract them. If anything it just goes to show PS4 gamers are playing it proportionally less.

Nonsense, Battlefront's release week peak at 350k (across all platforms) is clearly higher than CS:GO's below avearge peak of 650k just yesterday.

PC gamers rarely buy into any multiplayer-only titles, since the vast majority of them are just castles of sand that would crumble into nothingness within weeks. Also, lolOrigin.

As a person who games on pc I wouldn't be willing to pay the $80 dollar start fee and $60 dollar season pass for a drip feed of content for a digital copy of anything.

I'm sure it's mainly because the PS4 fan boys have no other games to play lol.

Hermits do realize most if not all multiplat this gen have been like this right lol? PS4 is almost always on the top while pc version is dead last in the dust.

I wasn't going to buy it to begin with, but playing the beta only reinforced that fact.

There are more people playing CS:GO, a game that is over 3 years old, than all the players playing SW:BF on every console + the PC combined, multiplied by 2. Fucking lol.

All these stats show me is that:
- PS4 players either really like battlefront, or just have nothing better to play right now
- PC doesn't care about battlefront, probably because they have other games to care about, such as CS:GO mentioned above.
- XBONE players have better things to do, but perhaps not as much as they would like, hence the number in the middle.

There are already heaps of indie devs doing fine just by developing solely for PC, also for AAA you forgot to mention:
- A bunch of Blizzard, Valve and Sega (CoH/TW) games
- Basically every MMO ever (WoW, Guild Wars)
- Basically every MOBA ever (Smite, League, Dota2)
- Basically every RTS ever, and also a lot of TBS games (stuff like Civilization)
- One offs like Star Citizen (says we will never get another AAA exclusive again when this one is coming soon, so nice lie)

So congratulations on your platform of choice being full of rubes who are willing to pay $90 for $35 worth of content just like Evolve, Titanfall, And Destiny.

This game is the definition of mediocre. From the lack of weapons and customization to the poorly implemented heroes and even more poorly implemented vehicles. I played the beta and was utterly bored of the game in less than 2 hours.

This just goes to show that PS4 gamers are consumer whores and love $110 games.

Dunno bout X1 but PC gamers are spoilt for choice for a FPS shooter. SW Battlefront is not that good enough to grab peoples attention away from FPS games that they already have invested hundreds of hours in, not enough to make them leave behind formed communities and maybe even reputations.

TBH I see Battlefront and I can't help but feel that I rather be playing Planetside 2 anytime anyday.

Beta was boring so that's probably why the PC sales are so low. Also big steam sale coming up.
