Please Let this be TRUEE!!!!

OMG OMG OMG sequel to greatest FPS of all time. STALKER 2 will be the game that even make Doom Eternal pale in comparision since STALKER made even Half life feel like terrible. that's how amazing and immersive STALKER was..

gamescom getting more and more better!.

even if STALKER 2 turn out to be as good or even better than originals. it will be greatest game of all time bar none.

its atmosphere and immersion matter more than graphics.

this gamescom getting better and better. first disintegration, now Stalker 2.

Are you 5, TC? Get a grip... We literally know nothing about the game. It could be great, it could be terrible, who knows? It's way too early to be saying stupid things like comparing it to another game that isn't even released.

I like Stalker, but you're making it seriously uncool to like the Stalker games around these parts with your constant gushing.

I'd love it if they supported ray tracing. Ray traced global illumination did wonders for Metro Exodus. An atmospheric game like STALKER could greatly benefit from it.

yes cyberpunk has not released but its scale is far bigger than any other PC game released in history and its mutliplat. i may not impressed by its gameplay so far but i cant deny how bigger it is in scale.

Deus Ex HR back in 2011 was multiplat or rather console build but was still ambitious.

STALKER 2 is not AAA game. if anything. it will release on PC in 2021 and ported to next gen console year later.

Stalker is only game where modding matters or modders make it even better.

new Doom reboots doesnot need modding. they are fine as they are. early Doom are unplayable thats why modding make it good. try playing vanilla Doom 1993. its unplayable. you use arrow keys and ctrl to shoot. no free mouse look etc.

only thing new Doom games need is fast paced shooting, good level design and quality campaign. no MP crap.

Quake 1 on other hand is far more playable.

the point is my friend, in 2009 era. whenever PC game came to consoles. they got ruined. this is not relevant anymore as console tech is now much bigger so they cant scale thier games back. thats why we have soo many boring open world games release every month now.

DOTA. Counterstrike. Team Fortress 2. DayZ. PUBG.

In Gothics III's case, thanks to a rushed publisher the game is basically fucked without modding.

come on, DOTA, PUBG, CSGO. they are terrible casual games for casual PC gamers who participate in MLGs.

PUBG mobile now is more popular.

beside i dont really care about elder scrolls or gothic or any broken RPGs. so its obvious modders make it better. but in case of STALKER. modders make a masterpeice even more masterpiece.

time have changed. there is no way STALKER 2 wouldnot delivered.

I wonder how many of the original Dev team are working on it. I know a lot of the GSC folks left to form 4A.

i'm extremely curious to see Stalker 2 in action though. the original is a classic in my eyes and one of my favorite games ever

10 years ago when any game came to console. i would say they would be 100 percent dumbed down, ruined, turn into scripted linear.

but today i cant because developers can make ambitious games without dumbing down (Prey, Doom, Cyberpunk, Deus Ex, Metro Exodus etc)

even FEAR 1 was not that type of game that cant work on console. it was simple linear corridor shooter and lot of games today are more ambitious than that. but it was ruined. because back than consoles were waayy too limited and developers have no idea how to design a game with both KB/M and gamepad in mind.
