the thing is. in today age. either on console or not. game worked. in previous gen. if game is multiplat they have to dumbed down.

see cyberpunk even though it looks mediocre but its ambitious project and its multiplat. STALKER 2 can be ambitious project like that.

what STALKER 2 need is same style or originals but improved graphics, gameplay, better universe and zone which already is most unique setting in gaming history. and no Metro like cutscenes. it work in Metro but it wont work in STALKER.

and im sure GSC are very PC oriented.

Im a huge fan of Half life. consisder them to be among the greatest. but STALKER SOC did everything better than Half life except story and voice acting.

the gunplay is better, the world is better, better atmosphere, better replay value etc.

STALKER is by far best FPS i have ever ever played. it was just so so good. a masterpiece.

I haven't played the first stalker but when a dev wait this long to release a sequel, its usually a disappointment.

because they are back from dead. GSC was shut down in 2012 then came back years later and this is too ambitious project for them. original STALKER took 10 years to released.

Realistically woman shouldn't be in the zone though, for obvious reasons. Like prison they probably do force the weaker men to dress up as a woman as a stand-in, most likely a captured opposing faction, loners or those deemed treasonous. Make-up roughly put on, clown like, but slightly resembling a woman, which is all that's needed in the zone. Cans of beans for sex, every bean a microcosm of dignity lost.

That's a good point, if this has a budget and they try to emulate AAA games, it might lose it's charm.

Being a buggy peice of shit with unintentionally hilarious NPC's is a large part of the games appeal.

GSC are very rich. sergei is one of the richest man in ukraine. although game like this need proper budget and time.

but being that they wont make it like any other AAA game. thats why its not getting much attention everywhere and not mainstream enough. they know game will sell among hardcore fanbase and thats it.

When i first played STALKER SOC. my mind was blown. there was nothing like that back in days before and sadly nothing like that after.

Stalker Shadows Of Chernobyl is still an amazing game. While it wasn't perfect and had some issues, it was still a very immersive game for its time. Sadly I didn't like Clear Sky and Call Of Pripyat because not only did they feel very rushed, but they were both even more buggy and not very fun at all. I hope Stalker 2 turns out good.

I didnot like others as much as Shadow of chernobyl but call of pripyat was good. although was bit boring on start. it feel too empty.

STALKER was one of those games that was pretty much a train wreck at release in various aspects but had such a strong core foundation that made it to last. I only hope the developers understand what made the original so incredible and focus on that above all else. Even if initially it’s not the best, modders will take care of the rest.
