Square Enix teasing a new game ( Star Ocean 5?)

SE seem to be teasing something which to be announced next week!

everything about the teaser screams Star Ocean game so SO5??

Looks very star ocean'y Im up for it...

despite the awful story/soundtrack/characters, i actually liked the combat.

If they have decent characters this time..ill definitely grab it instead of borrowing a friends copy.

It's probably a Vita game. I remember them teasing "oh my gurd a new Parasite Eve game" *me pouncing up and down like a school girl* "it's for the psp" *me crying in a corner cursing a few words at SE*

Here's hoping it will be better than Mass Effect but honestly after playing Mass Effect games i expect something to be either similar to ME or better from SE ( since SO and ME are quite similar in terms of setting)

once you go Mass Effect you can never look at anything else.

I'd really like to see a Star Ocean at least as tolerable as 1 & 2. I find myself wanting to play SO4, but if the story is really that bad, it'll probably turn me off from playing it.

Expect this to be something terribly disappointing like a cell phone game though.

At 20 I would. Maybe 30 if they added in some cool bonus stuff, like extra story that wasn't able to make it on the original disc. It's the only excusable reason for not releasing an announced remaster of an already made game imo.

I'd love to see more JRPGs in space. : (

• Final Fantasy Versus ( nowhere to be seen )
• This secret game ( SO5?)

I just wish if they would work a little faster with development.. sigh just hire more people, seriously most Western developers produce 3 or 4 games a year so why does it take years to produce one game from SE? sigh anyways as always all we can do as gamers is wait

Yeah I think they were redrawing some things through the White Engine but it would be nice to hear more than just "wait guys, it's coming." I think a 720P screenshot would be nice to see at least.

Nah I give em a lot of flak but only because they're one of my favorite devs. Their fantastic publishers also, I just wish they weren't so barren of information at times.

Also, who knows what they're doing with FF Agnes at this point so might as well add that to their checklist.

ok maybe that isnt correct but you know what i mean :P, it dosent take too long for most big devs to produce games and high quality ones too ( period from uncharted 2 to 3, borderlands to B2, halo reach to halo 4 and so on ) SE takes 5+ years for one game ( except FFXIII which been coming pretty fast about time they learn doing that)

SO5 wouldn't be square it would be Tri-Ace. Who has been working on smaller projects and just had a new PSP game announced.

Never played a Xenosaga or Phantasy Star game. Rogue Galaxy's world setup is a lot like Mass Effect, selecting what world you want to go to, though it obviously doesn't allow the choices in story like ME (or rather the illusion of choice:P)

There are a few times in the story where you fight on the ship's deck but it's more cyberpunk than spacey.

Do the current collections run at that resolution and framerate? As far as I knew Flower was the only PS3 game to hit that performance.

Thats also another issue which they can fix ( localize alongside the japanese version) but i think they are actually trying now, i mean FFXIII-2 didnt take too long to get it localized so heres hoping they are indeed fixing everything ( they did also say they would love to make a big FF game every year and at a faster rate too ).

anyways guess will see what this secret game is next week.

Really, there's no reason why they shouldn't be able to handle it.
