Anyone excited for the game? I can't wait to play this at 60fps as well as the remaster (even though I didn't like the change of actors) lol

I have the Ultimate Edition preordered but it's going under the Christmas tree for my son. He loves Spiderman. I'll probably pick up Into the Spiderverse on disc for him as well.

Grabbing MM when I buy a PS5, but I just replayed Spider-Man, so that can wait on if I want to buy it again further down the line.

Its Insomniac, I doubt that the reviews will be bad. Worst case scenario it meets expectations.

@louixiii: I believe this was initially dlc for the og game but Sony held it back, added a couple of extra hours of content and decided to call it a game lol.

You learn something new everyday, today we learnt that dlc has gone gold :)

I am predicting it to be like Uncharted Lost Legacy. Started as DLC for the main game, then was turned into a stand alone title. I expect it to be 10-12 hours worth of content.

Meh. The game looks good but I’ve got no idea on the Miles Morales character so I’m not really feeling any draw to this game. I’ve always known Spider-Man as the Peter Parker character along with his family, friends, foes, and storylines. Not entirely invested in this game and may just stick with the initial Spider-Man game for my web slinging thrills.

Not really a comicbook guy but doesn't pp spiderman have tons of variants or maybe they're called universes? Or was that batman? lol

Mm seem new and might not be as overwhelming so you can have an easier time of getting some idea about him.

I prefer pparker mostly out of nostalgia. Getting stealth and electricity for spiderman might seem better for a game but feels a bittle too much for me.. not sure if I'll get used to that soon.

@rzxv04: Not sure. My exposure to the character is really only from the tv series’ from the 70’s and the 90’s cartoon shows. My favourite is the 90’s Fox cartoon show which is the characters and universe that I have the most affinity towards.

Gotcha. Mine were from, maybe like 3-4 comic books of him and scarlet spider and thought they were cool except that's all I remember. Don't even remember the plot at all when I was a kid.

I'm probably gonna get shat on for this but I really liked the older spiderman movies (3 total) not the recent one. That's where most of my sm exposure comes from.

Most promising launch game across both platforms, that’s for sure. The first game was great, but there was room for improvement. Interested to see what they have done to stealth gameplay, which wasn’t that exciting in the first game.

Hard for me to believe that people are excited for this game.

A depressing, miserable generation game jump where people celebrate the chicken bone rather than the meat, because their is no fucking meat.

I don't get the appeal with Spiderman but its popular. To this day, I have never played a Spiderman game.

Until Sony stops supporting PS4, I see no point in purchasing PS5.

^^Everybody here was doing the same thing for PS4 and Xbox One. I remember the daily posts comparing the leaves in Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition on the PS4/Xbone versions because people dropped 400-500$ on new consoles year one and had nothing to do with them. Same things happened with 360 and PS3. History repeats itself.

At least with the Switch, posters have stopped with the "Nintendo Should Go Third Party" posts.

Yea, i get it, all the superhero shit is popular. The gameplay is so damn repetitive, tho especially the side quests. Playing this game feels like a job, not a hobby. Nobody talks about the repetitiveness of this game. Its all forgotten when a supero they love is on the box.

Gaming better not take the same route. I just cannot stand seeing anything superhero in any of my entertainment. Seeing some 40 years old dude wearing a dumbass looking halloween costum ruins mah immersion lol

And aside from Spiderman Ultimate on Gamecube, name another Spiderman game that compares? You know just as well as I do that most super hero games are crap...especially Spidey games. And now that one comes along that's actually pretty good, it gets dogged and for what? Being good?

I know you like to troll so I don't know if I should be taking you serious right now but I personally haven't played a Spiderman game as good as this and Ultimate yet and please believe, I've pushed through quite a few including Spiderman for the N64. Now that was rough lol Oh, Maximum Carnage gets a nod too xD

Lol if you think that i am being negative about the game because i am trolling, you couldn't be more wrong. And this Spiderman IS the best (most likely???) compared to the others, but is this supposed to say much when the others are abysmal, like the large majority of superhero video games? How am i supposed to play it through when just in the few hours it was less enjoyable than watching paint dry? It was such a piss poor gaming experience that there's no way i will ever in my life try another one of these. You really gotta be into the superheroes crap to enjoy a game like this. To me, the game felt childish, corny and extremely repetitive. This game managed to be more repetitive than most open world games. People are excited to play this 🤣I don't get it.

Admittedly we have been over-saturated with them, predominantly through movies than games these few years.

Those Batman titles, especially with a price hike and very obviously GaaS do not hold much appeal beyond a bargain sale.

But that's more to do with the jaded nature (well deserved) towards the industry than a problem with superheros themselves.

If people enjoy that shit certainly not going to begrudge them for it.
