It's not impossible for Marvel to eventually get the rights back. They could just completely devalue the character in all media they have power over, trashing his story left and right, until it's not worth it for Sony to continue with those rights.
As it currently stands Sony is at the losing end of Spider-Man rights. They may enjoy the filmmaking and game rights currently, but Disney is leeched onto just about everything else.
Sony is contractually obligated to milk the shit out of Spider-Man; once they stop it all goes to Disney.

After Spider-Man's appearance in MUA3, a Switch game from Nintendo, this is BS. And defenders of this on Twitter try and justify it by bringing up SoulCalibur II and IV.

Square Enix lost a customer with this one. Exclusive content shouldn’t exist for multiplat games, unless you’re going to make the other versions cheaper.

Spider-Man’s popularity today is somewhat in part due to Sony. They pretty much own the character at this point, so while it does suck for x1 version buyers, I don’t see Sony putting him in the X1 version unless there was a MASSIVE outcry over it.
I agree it’s Sony throwing its corporate weight around but it doesn’t phase me in the slightest because that’s what many corporations do. So if this upsets you then I expect the same outrage to be directed towards the numerous other big instances of corporate injustices.

The PC / Xbox fake boys for this game are huge right now saying how it was a good game till this happened but now it sucks and isn't worth anything

Don't know whose idea is this but I believe this game will be dead by then already so i'm not all mad about it. I don't really understand why do it for this game since Spider-Man was in Marvel Alliance 3 on Nintendo Switch. But I preordered on Amazon just to play on beta and probably would cancel it after that.

Hope this ver of spidey allows for some good combo moves and I do hope they get the swinging right.
From trailer there is a big open sandbox for Iron Man and Thor to fly around so I do hope its big enough for spidey to swing as well. On the combo, Spidey PS4 combat is good but I find the 1 button combo is a bit repetitive after some time, especially coming from the arkham games.
Where were they when Tomb Raider was exclusive to xbox one for a year? Oh thats right they didn't care back then.

Sony likely wasted their money doing this because this game isn't gonna be worth all the drama. Xbots are just addicted to acting victimized even though they're only 15% of any game's overall sales.
