Mods typically lock things that are too far in the deep end of "Fanboy Wars" rather than "System Wars". There is a difference, and typically posts are riddled with fanboyism, but Threads need to be less so. Obviously the flavour of fanboyism is found in most threads, but this thread is too obviously fanboy-ish.

More "What to do..." Considering Sony pretty much followed MS. Shit, their online was terrible at the beginning... My experience? My 60GB console bought a few months after launch.

ms didn't invent most of those things,

the only thing sony followed that is owed to ms alone,

is subscriptions for online play,

and even that is loosely accredited to mmos

I really think it's a good console and all I stated was that Sony will keep it's lead and that MS will just have to settle for second. Xbox was barely above GC and the 360 gradually lost its hold on second place. A solid second place will be an improvement.

1) Sony aren't dominating the sales in such a way that would make it worthwhile to implement a cost leadership marketing strategy. Therefore Microsoft are benefiting on both hardware and software sales.

2) Sony has no software (games) to sell, so it defeats the purpose of relying on software to make up the difference.

@FoxbatAlpha: I didn't buy it for launch titles, thats stupid. Sony has quality 1st party titles every gen, why would it suddenly change? X1s biggest title next year is Titanfall, and I will be playing that on PC.
