My friends all bought COD4 on Xbox360, so I followed along, but after 3 days of trying to fumble my way around the HORRIBLE control scheme of a console controller, I have given up.

Yes, you can say I suck, but I can say the console controller sucks equally as bad as a FPS controller. Mouse and keyboard is so far and away superior, it really isn't even comparable.

I really have no idea how you Halo freaks do it.

It's called skill. It's not the game's fault you aren't good at it.

Yeah, I hate dual analog too. Wiimote is basically just an inferior mouse, you would probably like it more.

I only play FPS's on PC.

It just feels better to me, and anything else is awkward and the games (for the most part) aren't as enjoyable to me.

I guess there is skill to trying wash clothes with a washboard, but personally, I'd prefer to use the best technology at my disposal for the job, so I go with the washing machine.

Thats because they have no choice. If they want to play those two games, they are stuck with a controller.

Yeah, I feel like I'm fighting the controller to do what I want it to do. I put myself in the best position possible to blast some guy, doesn't see me at all, and it takes me like 3 full seconds to try to fight those stupid analog sticks to actually put the crosshair on the guys head before I can pull the trigger. It's horrible. You console people are kidding yourself. If they ever do a crossover where PCers can play consolers, K&M verses controller, you consolers will see how inferior your controller really is.

It does that a long time to get use to the controller. And Yes, Keyboard and Mouse is far more superior due to the accuracy using the mouse for FPS.

Exactly. I can't stress it enough, after playing with the precision aiming of a mouse, I really find those analog sticks to be absolutely abhorent for controlling a crosshair.

lol, that gave me a good laugh when I read it.

I had played fps on consoles for years before I did it on the pc, so I have a fondness for both of them. While I do really enjoy the very precise controls that teh pc offers, latcomers to the party are put off because there are just too many people on the pc that are too good at some of the shooters to make it a fair online game.

That was the case with me, I played pc games for a long time, just not shooters. Once I finally got into the online play I got destroyed!! It was a haresh lesson, being good at console shooters means nothing in the pc realm, and vice versa. Both are fun however, and I do enjoy the rumble from teh console controls :D

true, aiming is easier on teh pc, but at the same time that means that those power players that really master it destroy those who don't clock in many hours. This make fps very competitive online.

It's quite amusing how he says that aiming is too easy in PC games, when console shooters have auto-aim, sticky aim and other helpers, and in PC games these things are essentially referred to as aimbots.

"Easy" in multiplayer is relative. I'm talking about online multiplayer gaming where, yes, you might be good at using the mouse to aim, but so is everyone else. I guarantee simply logging on to Counterstrike for the first time to play with the mouse and keyboard, you didn't just go into a game and own everyone you saw, and if that is what you are claiming, then I'm calling you a liar.

It takes skill to beat someone else in a PC shooter, but you are fighting them, not the control scheme. I find that I am fighting the controller first and foremost with console shooter. It's more frustrating than fun.

The reason you sucked playing a FPS on consoles is not the controller. Its because your not use to it. If your usually a PC gamer and go and play some console FPS of course you won't be able to get the grip of the controller. Same thing with if a console gamer who hardly plays PC FPS games went and played Unreal Tournament or something.
