It didn't halo 3 sales account Halo 3 ODST as well which is a joke,it was a stand alone expansion not a halo 3 copy.
Very easy to see not only unchated 4 ousold Halo 3,but also GOD is close to do so as well in just 1 year,and even TLOU remaster as well,so i am sure spiderman did as well.

17 million seems surprisingly low for Sony, considering how it has been the console market leader for most of the past two decades.
For contrast, Mario Kart 8 sold 25 million in a smaller timeframe, despite launching on the WiiU.
I'm sure if Sony only made console bundles of their 1st party games, like Nintendo, they would be as high as them.

So The Witcher 3, arguably the most praised Single player narrative driven 3rd party title this gen, ONLY sold 20 total! Across PS4, PC and Xbox One!
And PS4 sales were between 39.5 - 48%, approx. 45% averaged.

It's a fair question, and probably applies to Xbox as well, but deffo not Nintendo....all their top 10 games are 1st party exclusives.
Also, have to say I'm surprised to hear 8 out of 10 best selling games on PS4 are exclusives, since off the top of my head I assumed there would be a couple of CODs, RDR2, FIFA, Destiny 2, GTA and maybe a battlefield?

Saying Spiderman is the highest selling superhero game ever in the us, is about as relevant as saying FIFA is the highest selling football game. Pretty bleeding obvious to me seeing as there's only been a handful of superhero games.
In fact, as impressive as it sounds, the rest of the list includes Lego Spiderman, Lego marvel superheroes and....infamous 2. Lol.
Still, it's a great achievement. Right up there with Flight Simulator being the best selling flight simulator game....

So they're covering the entire lifespan of multiple generations and tallying up the numbers. Has anyone(lems) stopped and considered that Halo 3 reaches the top ten of the what-if list because MS has only been around for 2 and half generations? There just haven't been that many third party releases for the MS console. Look at Nintendo. They've been around the longest and, to no surprise, would consume the top 13 spots if exclusives were counted. I really don't need to explain why.
