Sony to announce "compelling" PS5 launch titles "soon"

In a Sony corporate strategy meeting, the company said it plans to "introduce a compelling lineup of titles soon" for the new platform. That phrasing is vague enough that it could be any time, but considering the console is still targeting a fall launch, we expect to see more details sometime over the summer.

Ohhh snap! Let the console wars begin! While we all knew Sony would be making announcements soon, I hope they mean within the next few weeks lol. What's on your launch title wishlist, SW? I'm going with a new Killzone and Bloodborne 4k 60fps. Thanks!

GT7 been leaked and I am fuckin ready. GT Sport has the best online mode for a racing game the past few years and I am so ready for GT7's new online challenges and tourneys. Oh offline career mode as well.

Unless it's completely empty of micro-transactions (Excluding free to play games), neither line up is going to impress me.

Horizon Zero Dawn 2 please. The first one still looks insane.....it's hard to imagine how will the sequel look running on a system several times faster and more powerful.

Funny, after nearly a year after MS, Sony finally announces the date for an event where games will be announced.At least hardcore cows have something to shout about now.

But anyways- GT7, Horizon Zero dawn 2, and Nier: Automata 2 are what i am really interested in seeing. Joking aside, I do think both the Xbox SX and PS5 will have a good lineup of games.

Man, it's been great not limiting myself to one console brand.

KNACK 3>everything MS can offer for the next 2-3 years. Its simply that incredible. Mark Cerny The Great was in charge, and what he has made is simply unbelievable. Everyone talks about CP2077 as the next big thing, but don't kid yourself, the real gem is Knack 3, a Cerny made magnum opus.

Bring it on, I'm ready. I enjoy Sony's first party lineup and look forward to Spiderman 2, Horizon 2, God of War 2, and Whatever ND have in store next.

I hope they let us know if there will be a ps5 version of Ghost and LoU 2 or just playable through bc. I'd wait for the ps5 versions if they will be options. Or maybe say if they will be cross buy if it will be available on both.

Or if you prefer not to waste money on two products that offer a similar value. Heaven forbid people buy one console due practicality to budgeting!

That's cool. I don't expect gameplay but it would be nice to see something actually running on the PS5.

yes i can't wait for this game to. i heard it is a gigantic open world and with multi player co-op. not sure if it is true but i also heard you can pick from a male or female this time. bring in a new character.

Nier Automata, what a f***ing amazing game. A sequel to that along with the rumoured Silent Hill Reboot and PS5 would suddenly become a day one purchase.

Realistically, Horizon 2 seems to be the only nailed on title for PS5 like Halo Infinite is literally the only thing Series X has and that will be downgraded to run on Xbox One anyway.

I'm sure Sony has things up their sleeve but it will take something big to make me even consider a PS5. Actually Nier Automata 2 would be enough on its own lol. We wait, we see, I suppose.

What are you looking forward to more, Bayonetta 3 or Sony's SSD?

Ikr? I was actually sad that it ended, but was happy when I found out that they were possibly making a sequel. All i really need for a definite day one purchase of the PS5 is HZD 2 and Nier: Automata 2.

I'm already considering the Xbox SX day one, but what would make it a 100% day one purchase is if Fable 4 is announced. That game is basically confirmed to be in development, we just need an official word from MS.

And on your part about Halo Infinite being held back, I disagree. Plenty of games released this generation released on the lower end systems but still looked amazing on the higher end ones (Pro, One X, PC).
