Sony reverts to its prophetic slogan for E3

Neil Druckmann just posted this on Twitter.

I thought they were done with this slogan.

Is it now safe to assume this signifies that all the Sony heavy-hitters are, again, considerably far away from now?

It is a great slogan.

Funny lemmings read it like "games delayed 1year+" or something...when it can be all from 1day to whatever. What about 1week until E3 show starts?

Either way, can't wait for E3, got a feeling this year will be one of the best.

That's true though. "Awaits" sounds more like the greatness is waiting for you, and you'll have it when you buy the PS4. While "waits" sounds like you should actually wait for it. It would've been a good slogan if there was any greatness in the PS4.

Its still the same thing. Awaiting is simply the action of waiting for something or someone. Its just an abbreviated form of saying "Greatness waits within" or "greatness waits in the future" or something akin to that.

Sony had to go with the same slogan. Creating a new one would require paying a firm for creating a new one.

But "greatness" certainly does await............

I've got to disagree. I interpret it differently. Like I said, "awaits" sounds as if you will get greatness when you buy the PS4. And "waits" sounds as if you have to wait for the greatness to come to you. But then again, English is not my first language, so I might be wrong

So you're saying Sony made that slogan for the intention of people thinking they have to wait for greatness? If you say "Greatness Waits", that is different to saying "Greatness Awaits". One is implying you have to wait for greatness. The other implies that greatness is coming. It's a glass half full rather than half empty type thing I guess.

That is amazing how the flesh is already gone since 2013.
