SONY owns 2019! My astoundingly accurate preview of year 2019.

Welcome to this totally unbiased and amazingly accurate prediction of year 2019 for our fave consoles!

So, what does 2019 have in stock for us?

To begin with, the only good exclusive for Xbox One, Crackdown 3, was forever ruined by Terry Crews, the most irritating man on the planet, thus dooming Xbone for 2019...

Our friendly neighbohood console, Switch, will be getting even more last gen, and PS2 era remasters this year, assures Nintendo. When asked if they had any new games on pipeline, they refused to answer. Here is Shigeru enjoying FF-X, a game that has already appeared on PS2, PS3, Vita, 360, PS4, Xbone, and is now coming to Switch. Hooray!

PS4, on the other hand, is looking really strong indeed, with over dozen AAA exclusives announced, such as Days Gone and TLOU2. So, safe to predict that year 2019 will be SONY, SONY and then some more SONY!

No love for Shenmue 3, Granblue Fantasy, or Babylon's Fall

Pretty much this. How many games like KH3 were meant to come out last year but got pushed back. I wouldn't be surprised if most of these were too especially death stranding, we don't even really know what its about besides a lot of walking.

All the games I want this year are multiplat. There aren't any exclusives I want this year besides the Medieval remaster.

When looking at the pic of the PS4 games. Does anybody else find it amusing that the character in the third pic is based off of a character on TV played by the guy in the first pic?

That being said, the PS4 is really going all out with the bush hiding in 2019!

The Switch and the PS4 both have a nice lineup this year.

I don't know about the Xbox, I'm still waiting for games recommendations and nobody is able to give me some.

PC is going to be fine this year too.

If you consider crackdown an Xbox exclusive (even though it's coming to pc too) then why would you forget to include ori 2, gears 5, cuphead DLC, battletoads, etc?

PS4 indeed has an edge over other consoles but let's not say that you're unbiased shall we?

@SolidGame_basic: True. Sony is so far ahead in consoles sold and also offers the most interesting exclusives, so of course they will dominate 2019. But what about 2020 where the next generation consoles are probably revealed? These are exciting times.

(BTW how could anyone possibly think that Death Stranding is coming this year? Even TLoU2 is a stretch for 2019.)

Anyway, I'm just going to copy-pasta my list from a previous post.

Pokemon Gen 8, Luigi's Mansion 3, Yoshi's Crafted World, Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Travis Strikes Again, Animal Crossing, Town, Daemon X Machina, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 all confirmed for this year. TBC 2019 includes Bayonetta 3, Metroid Prime 4, Shin Megami Tensei 5, Pikmin 4 and Yo-Kai Watch 4. Not including any third-party or indies.

Holy shit, that list is just dirty good... Hopefully my Switch holds up lol.

Last of us 2 will smash anything coming on any platform this year if released. The switch has a decent line up if you like rpg's Xbox needs more than crackdown 3 and gears 5 to improve on last years pitiful offering. Interesting year ahead.

I'm hype for Total War: Three Kingdoms for the most parts. Got that lockdown but as for Age of Empires 4, not sure about that, but I'm sure more gameplay will convince me otherwise though.

MS's 2019 lineup looks just like Sony's only with less games so why aren't you coming at MS the same way?

Don't know why you throw "Third Person" into the description of these games as if that makes them the same or something but yea, most AAA games are third person period.

Is the Witcher 3 and Red Dead Redemption 2 the same as those "Third Person" Sony games as well?

Do you hate on and criticize those titles for being the same because they are "Third Person"?

If not then you're not in a position to be criticizing the gameplay perspective as a negative thing. It's simply a game play perspective buddy, so stop trying to act like a game play perspective makes one game the same as another that's a dumb argument.

I have no problem giving PS4 a pat on back for 2018, and a handshake for 2017, but if PS4 fans are gonna pretend like Crackdown, Gears, Ori and Battletoads are lame and no comparison, then I'm not gonna even bother.

You're crazy if you think TLoU 2 is coming this year, let alone Ghosts of Tsushima. Days Gone will be that first half major release, and at best, Death Stranding will be in that back to school slot, but I doubt anything else major comes, unless PSVR.

-One X has more features and options, including crossplay with Switch

-One X is vastly more powerful than PS4, and even PS4 Pro, so everything not exclusive is better on Xbox, so you'd have to love Days Gone real bad to play KH3, RE2, DMC5 and Sekiro on PS4.

-Gears 5 is a bigger franchise than nearly anything on PS4.

-Ori was the best metroidvania of this generation til some other stuff came out, and I'm sure Ori 2 is gonna go back to being best metroidvania, and the game all Hollow Knight gamers are gonna want to play

This list, not composed of any unconfirmed games, still shows the kind of depth PS4 has for 2019 in terms of variety and quantity. Are the games huge mega hitters like God of War and Spiderman? No. But no one can claim Sony doesn't have a competent selection of games to choose from for 2019.

No one knows what will happen with TLOU2, Death Stranding and Ghosts of Tsushima at this point so people should stop force posting those games into 2019's game line up. You're setting yourself up for an L.

First.

I'd like to say I agree with you on TLOU2. I don't think it's coming this year. It really wouldn't make any sense for Sony to not announce it at least coming out in 2019 if they were actually planning to do that. Sony may change their mind, but my intuition tells me that Sony wants TLOU2 as a PS4 launch title.

As far as Death Stranding and Ghosts of Tsushima, one of those titles may come out this year, but logic would suggest Ghosts of Tsushima would release before Death Standing. If anyone know's anything about how meticulous Kojima is about his games and with us knowing how complex he's trying to make Death Stranding become it's much less likely to be a finished product than a more straight forward game like Ghost's of Tsushima.

A few disagreements.

Xbox one X's power doesn't have any impact as far as games go. This shouldn't even really be a point of discussion after 2017 and 2018 came and left without XBOX power advantage having any effect on console and game sales, most xbox players are still playing on standard Xbox One or S.

Gears 5 is a bigger franchise than the games I listed for Sony's 2019. It's really not bigger than any other AAA Sony Franchise.

Also how can you claim Ori was the best metridvania of this generation when you yourself mention Hollow Knight which surpasses it critically and it's in that genre?
