@zaryia: ahah nice try, calling any 300+ dollars piece of technology a children's toy, especially when we have nintendo lab around.
10 years later and shit's still the same!
On topic : looks cool, not crazy about that white tho.
Looks a lot more like a Xbox controller now and that is a good thing for me as I highly prefer the X-box controller.
Well, people mainly prefer the xbox controller..due to the thumb sticks location (being more apart)......the PS5 controller still has the usual stick placement. So the comfort isn't there.
My only issue with the controller is that the thumb sticks should be more apart...make the controller wider if you have too. It's why i prefer the xbox controller more. Still looks nice tho.

You know it is funny that you said that cause I really never thought about it. I just picked up my x-box controller and my Switch Pro controller and they are placed the same, but my Ps4 controller is spaced really close together. That is super interesting. Thanks for pointing that out. Maybe that is why I like my X-box and Switch Pro controllers so much more.
Well it does look more comfortable then their previous controllers with the contour of the handle grips. Still looks somewhat “meh” and I still don’t care for the analog stick placement. I find the asymmetrical layout to be much more comfortable.
@zaryia: Aw, no threads about upcoming PC hardware out there? Feeling a little left out?
That's typically not a thing, and is rare. Mostly because it's the norm and nothing note worthy. Expect to see the next Nvidia series in winter, and it'll take a dump on this little toy. But no one will care, because it's business as usual.
IE: Stepping on an ant doesn't make the front news.
Hopefully it has a more ‘solid’ and weighty feel to it. The other controllers tend to feel a bit light and hollow. I also hope the triggers feel a bit better as well but they’ll probably be the same unfortunately.
I would have preferred a color scheme like this.
I like the new controller. Looks sleek. I don't mind the symmetrical sticks but I much prefer asymmetrical. I don't have a problem switching between the two though.
I do prefer this color scheme though; looks better than the one showed in my opinion.
@zaryia: Sounds interesting....surprised nobody made a thread about it. Maybe because it only appeals to a handful of people.
@hardwenzen:
Oh shit we have a winner.😂

Ohhh shit. DualShock who?
Thing looks great. A hell of a lot better then any controller Sony has ever made. I am very happy to see this.
I actually agree..

PC hardware revenue is more than that of any other 1 system. PC is the most popular platform.
You don't see those threads often for the reasons I listed. It's business as usual. At some point the sun rising isn't breaking news.

I'm sure Sony will have color scheme options on launch day but that black one is more appealing.
Literally looks like a Xbox controller with neutral analog sticks.
Unfortunately the analog stick layout is still retarded. Every time I hold a PS controller I feel my life energy drain. It’s so unnatural and unnecessary. For year people have been begging them to offset the analog sticks.
Instead, they copied the design of Xbox, but kept the analog sticks neutral. Dumb.
I'm one of the few people who couldn't care less about controller aesthetics. Does it work? Does it not have inherent manufacturing defects? Does it have long battery life?
If yes to all three, then it's a good controller.
I bet you everyone who likes this design are into LED everything and poop like Astro headsets 👀
To me this controller looks like a flashy toy (in white that is). Doesn't look like a well build piece of equipment.
Dual sense, it does sound like a women's sex toy, hopefully the batteries last or there are going to be some very unhappy women out there lol.
@faponte13: We dont know yet. Sone folks in NeoGaf are going crazy assuming there is no 3.5mm headphone jack. At this point we don't now. It's quite obvious Sony purposefully left out pics of the bottom and back of the controller. Only time will tell uf there will be back triggers and a 3.5mm jack.
@Planeforger: My right thumb is on the control stick 90+% of the time. If what you say is true, then the right control stick should also be above the buttons.
@hardwenzen: I was thinking the same thing.
When you're holding this controller, your right thumb naturally rests on the buttons, and your left thumb naturally rests on the D-pad. You have to extend your thumb to use the analogue stick, which has always been a bad design choice.
I understand Sony has to try to look different, but I wish they would fix their flawed design.
lol No. That sounds so uncomfortable. I'm glad they kept it the same. My hands are symmetrical, the controller should be, too.
I disagree. For the majority of games, your left thumb will be on the analogue stick (for movement) and your right thumb will be on the buttons (for actions) - so you want those two to be symmetrical.
I guess there are some genres (like FPS) where you'd want to be using the right analogue stick more, but most games I play on the PS4 care more about the action buttons than the camera controls.
@SolidGame_basic: Does the switch pro controller get 40 hrs with rumble on? If so, that ridiculously good and good news for the new controllers.
Yes, the Switch pro controller has a crazy-good battery life. You can play entire RPGs while only charging it once or twice,
Oh noes the controller has a microphone to spy on us. Thanks Obsma!
Wait it does, this is too funny as I remember cows saying the Kinect was a device for the government to spy on people.
No cows mentioning nothing about this LOL.
And PS5 will dominate your Shit rig.
My rig insanely dominated PS2, PS3, PS4, and PS4PRO. I'll let you know when my rig dominates PS5 once it comes out.
Looking at history, your statement seems unlikely. I mean why would things suddenly change?
That's why your stuck on discussing Playstation.
Uhh...this is System Wars. I've always discussed PS.
@lundy86_4: Yea he's making shit up. That's what he does. He's fairly delusional and extremely creepy.
What in this back-and-forth, makes you think i'm agreeing with you? One of you needs to call this quits, because it's just sad.
