No it's not! 4K has been around for a long time on PC, it's the current consoles Xbox One X/PS4 Pro that is late to the party. And the only hype your seeing is console gamers are all drooling for 4K on a console.

Must be the one's who already own a PS4 since the start of this gen are finally buying a Xbox One S/X at this moment now, so it makes sense to see those fly off the shelves due to deals price-wise.

Waiting for good deals on games/PC/consoles pays off.

I'm talking new buyers, at some point the standard ps4 will be replaced with the pro as the new standard. I was surprised Sony hasn't done it yet it makes no sense to make multiple versions of a console and I doubt there is much price difference between the standard and pro in terms on manufacturing.

Looking at the article from GS "Xbox One X lack of exclusive games" headline, you can see why they made that article and it has over 900 posters as of now. Can't say I blame'em for that. GS needs every bit of your clicks.

Sony was and still is in a colossal financial trouble yet they made everyone a Playstation user, specially this generation. This generation even the most die hard lems and sheep own a PS4 ( not that past gens didnt, they just didnt admit so openly ) And when a company is in such a colossal trouble and keeps delivering again and again and again great games and NEW AAA Ips, trying to push gaming with VR ( investing money in new technologies in short ) and they are not slowing down even if PS4 is 4 years old when others doing exactly the opposite all the time ... Respect all im saying, love em or hate em.

And dont start with Vita ... Vita, Sonys biggest fail ... had more games a year ago vs Wii U.
