Sony fires all KEY people. Sony loses massive money.

DriveClub's game director Col Rodgers has left Evolution Studios, VideoGamer.com can reveal.

Rodgers left the studio in February to form indie startup Big Red Switch Games, a development studio that he says is working on "some cool game concepts".

Rodgers also confirmed to VideoGamer that his departure is not connected to today's wave of layoffs, which saw redundancies at Evolution, Guerrilla Cambridge and Sony London Studios.

However, with Rodgers out it isn't yet clear who will be leading development on Evolution's delayed PS4 racer in his place.

Earlier this month it was revealed that Sony had previously taken DriveClub "back to the drawing board", although the game is still technically due to launch in early 2014.

It goes like this let me explain please.

In order for said company to sell ad space, they need a company to give ads. For example, like an id system, one must take and one must give. If you look carefully at sport stadiums for example, in the backdrops of the space, there are constant interactions going on within confined spaces. Cut to commercials, you have the same thing, as well as company doing themselves good with partners in a big interconnected web.

Now, lets look at the other side of the picture. If you go to a starved country, with kids hungry, well this presents a perfect mix of balance for those who are not interested in what the media is presenting. Does this mean we are going to see commercials about the war, or military arms? Not necessarily, though in some parts of the USA, you can find posters are weapons for sale right up on the walls. This is another topic though, but the same overall image. It all goes back to the basics in the end...

Sony's been bleeding cash for a long time.

Nintendo has 8 billion in the bank. Microsoft is also loaded.

we really don't know if those people who left even matter yet, not like they're losing a David Jaffe (as far as I can tell), though if anyone worries me the most it's the Evolution leader leaving, I want them to hurry up and release Drive Club already so they can see about making another Motorstorm game

News flash TC: MS has lost quite a few high-end execs recently too.

Sony have a drive this generation that they lacked with PS3 and when you want to move forward as a company and push forward you always have to get rid of the things/people that are going to hold you back and cause problems.

@FreedomFreeLife: the money earned from MS was in large part from enterprise, software such as office and 365 and server and OS licenses you act is if all that money they make goes to Xbox or is used for it, if they have all that much money genius why haven't they acquired more first party devs, why isn't TitanFall 2 going to be exclusive, why haven't they made more studios? MS is sooooo rich yet you see shit happening except for the timed exclusive and exclusive DLC and more paywalls. That 3000$ You wanted to spend on that graphics card would be better used for education which you clearly lack

They lost ALL key people yet still produce an exclusive open world game like Infamous Second Son in 4 months while the next biggest exclusive for xbox one is Kinect sports rivals lol.

But seriously, if Sony as a company don't turn things around this year they will need the Japanese government to step in with a bailout as the company is in deep financial trouble. From Jack on down to all the people in the OP's list, for those many to jump ship all within a 5 week period, you almost wonder if there's something going on behind the scenes the public isn't aware of yet. That 1.1 billion dollar loss, if true and we'll know in a few weeks, is likely the cause of all the upheaval, but kudos to Sony for fighting back hard as a company. Its a uphill battle for sure and the PS4 alone isn't nearly strong enough to save an entire company.

In other words SONY is taking care of business. Being driven by the by gamers FOR gamers mantra, and coupling that with Live, LEarn and Love. Quite spectacular really. We are ALL humbled SONY.

Still, how many of these people from well known and established devs are gonna leave as the PS4 is selling like hotcakes everywhere. They may see something coming we don't. People jump ship as thats life for any company, but when so many jump ship in a short period of time as their lead platform is doing well... when there's smoke, there's fire.

It's funny to see lemming talk about the under-powered, vaporware console that was never supposed to be after being owned by the reality that is the PS4. Good times.

Possibly. I personally don't want most of the big franchises of last gen being important this gen, talk about boring. hence why I couldnt give a damn if a new Halo comes when Destiny is coming, or gears of bore... or uncharted 4 (will likely play it though).

What suprises me the most about Sony is, why no mention of another Little Big Planet? better cpu, better gpu and 8 GB RAM to play with on a creative platformer such as that...... DAT POTENTIAL.
