Sony console exclusive Valkyrie Elysium not reviewing so well. 64 Metacritic

Little surprised here. This franchise usually reviews pretty well. Fans might remember this as a prized Sony series for a long time, but it seems the once upon a star has fallen far from the sky. Even fanboy site PushSquare who is known to over-inflate Sony exclusives seems to have given this game a 6/10. The reviewer called it downright ugly to look at. " If you told us that Valkyrie Elysium was a PlayStation 3 game remastered for PS5, we'd believe you. " Lets hope for the best, Square isnt doing too good on some of these games. This would have been a good type game for a GamePass type service. I fill this game is gonna flop hard now and be clearanced soon.

Looks like its equal to Splatoon3. Very shallow games, i agree.

Got my copy today. I really enjoyed the demo so I wasn’t going to be that swayed by reviews. Hopefully it’s good!

I hope it was worth the cost Sony paid to make it exclusive.😂

That’s kind of unfortunate. I tried a tiny bit of the demo but not really enough to come to any conclusion. Will have to check out some reviews and what not.

Game reviews make no sense to me. I'm not even really a fan of the genre, but after playing the demo I liked it enough to consider purchasing the game... to each their own I guess. I don't think it's a masterpiece or anything, but for what it does it does damn well. Personally from what I've played I'd give it closer to a 7-7.5 somewhere in there. I guess that's no all that much higher, but it certainly doesn't feel and play like a 6... that is unless everything after the first couple hours is complete trash.

There are enough combos, different attacks, weapons, chains, status effects, items, etc. to keep things fresh and it said I completed around 15% of the main story... It probably isn't a $60 buy (or $75 for that matter), however it's a $30-$40 buy all day.

It kind of has that classic AA feel to it.. just plain fun without too much of an emphasis of pushing unneeded bs into every nook and cranny.

For those that haven't already tried it give the demo a try.. it was a good time.

I like Saints Row 2022 and Crackdown 3 and they have shit reviews. Always go with your own review.

Was there ever a demand for this franchise? To my knowledge, nobody was asking for it.
