I mean, look at this ad, which recently won a Cannes Lion award for creativity. This ad makes you think, it makes you cry, and it strangely has no connection to video games until about the last 5 seconds, and that's what is brilliant about it. Brilliant, Sony.
Now, look at these Switch ads as discussed in a recent issue of Game Informer. They always feature people playing their Switches in random places. In this one case, the guy just walks into his house, drops whatever he's doing, and just plays his Switch. Who does that? I didn't even see the guy use his keys to enter the house. Is this even his house?
Nintendo Switch commercials always show off cool, sometimes head-scratching scenarios in which you can potentially enjoy the device. I would saySony commercials are clearly the winner in this comparison. Switch commercials have gotten stale over the years. Same formula - let's just show people playing their Switch in different places, because if you haven't figured it out now, you can take it with you on the go 😄
What say you, SW? Are Playstation commercials better than Nintendo's?
