"Time to dust off that grappling line and strap on a parachute. The domain "JustCause3gAme.com" was registered earlier this week by CSC Corporate Domains, possibly on behalf of license holder Square Enix - the publisher has employed CSC for this purpose in the past.

Officially, developer Avalanche Studios is only working on a Mad Max videogame, but the company is no stranger to teasers of the Just 'Cos variety. "I really can't comment on any project we have in development, but as you know Avalanche Studios created the Just Cause IP and it is in many ways the heart and soul of this company," co-founder Christofer Sundberg observed last spring. "The game has inspired countless other games, including the games we currently have in development."

Avalanche released the below image on Instagram in February 2013. The whole "jumping from an impossible height" thing is certainly reminiscent of the antics of Rico Rodriguez. According to one rumour, the game will release in June 2015 for Xbox One and PS4."

I heard about this last week.. Rumors are it's going to be exclusive to X1 for 6 months, then it will be released as a low-grade port to the PS4. Microsoft is going all out by trying to delay releases to the PS4, and even when they are released they are shoddy ports.

to be fair pile of crap > gta 4. As much as I liked just cause 2 they have a lot to fix. Driving in this game was a nightmare and the control layout ( well for the ps3) never felt right to me. Other than I had a blast playing the game

New York is working on Just Cause 3, Stockholm is working on Mad Max. Different publishers.

Prevailing theory is Warner Bros wants it out alongside the movie.

actually rumors is to be released on iMac and X1 first stay exclusive for those 2 for a year then released as a subpar port to both PS4 and Pc . On Pc in fact it will only be released on 3.5" floppy disk while on PS4 and PC it will be missing the grappling hook because apparently it lacks the power to do the physics X1 and a $2000 iMac with an intel uberGpu can do

Hopefully they will integrate the multiplayer mod

Different Publishers same studio. Maybe they delayed it to work on that instead.

I doubt Warner Bros would approve Avalanche's request to delay Mad Max so they could divert resources to a game they're doing for a competitor.
