Yep, it's a thing ( scene with jeep in Madagascar, nothing unknown ) :
And also Nathan Drake in-game model ( captured during gameplay ) :

On par with cut-scene model.

@phantomfire335: You already have a comment about photomode and then the claim the character model looks worse then the cutscene model(it doesn't).
I never understood why people are quick to criticize games they have no interest in.
You don't know? Do you want some specific posts from some specific members?
If we're talking about this thread in particular then OK.

The first comment is wrong so fair enough, but I wasn't bashing the game when I said cutscene character models look better. The in-game character model still looks great.

It's not wrong. It's on par. Compare skin textures, hair, eyebrows, beard etc...
Finally it gets some style and looks halfway decent.
Almost seems more fitting given the game's/franchise's campy atmosphere.
More options than EVER, leading the way of GEN 8 Naughty Gods and PS4.
Can ANYTHING stop this JUGGERNAUT?
M$ tried to stop it with Quantum 6 and failed miserably.

Well Naughty Dog is a 2 X Top 5 GOAT developer. Really unfair to put them against Remedy.
Meanwhile, they left out Doughnut Drake because it might be offensive.
But yeah, it will look like every Telltale game ever ever. Impressive.
lol photomode.
nah, that looks to be a straight gameplay shot.
I see a camera icon that suggest, it's a photomode.
@imt558: How THAT's an awesome feature.
And no, cutscenes clearly look better, but that's expected from all games, atleast third person ones.
bad comparison, but UC4 models aren't anything special. Great, but not what cows keep hyping up.
lol photomode.

I see a camera icon that suggest, it's a photomode. Naught Duds already confirmed the presence of photo mode in UC4 and I don't trust cows at all to be posting gameplay shots.
It's a gameplay shot. Photomode automatically add sharpening filter for some reason. You don't have sharpening filter during gameplay. Maybe there will be some option to turn it off via patch,
Unbelievable how lems can be so dumb. That's an icon when you take a screenshot during gameplay or Photomode ( it's an indication that screenshot is taken and also you can disable that icon ). When you press several times "share" button, it's possible to take that icon too.

One game has clearly the same cut-scene and gameplay model. Guess which one? Yes, U4 gameplay model is on par with cut-scene model. Some textures are better rounded ( especially around eyes, ears ). But that's about it.

Fair enough. My mistake then.

In the part you highlighted in bold I was referring to zeesh's comment.

Both use the same model. Ryse's pre-rendered cutscenes simply are more complex but it still does gameplay transitions.
That said, the differences aren't massive, mainly in the eyes, yes. But they're clear.
