Capcom Fighting Collection has been out since the 24th. Who got it?

I did (Switch version). Main reason for me to get these are for Darkstalkers, which Capcom has been dormant with. And I never initially played one, though I've been itching too after the crossovers with SNK and Tatsunoko.

Hoping it does well enough in sales just for that.

Not me. I am not a fan of 2D fighting games.

I bought it for PC, mainly for the Darkstalker games as well. Also Puzzle Fighter. I haven't played it yet but plan to boot it up for the first time today.

I fired up Gem Fighters after the first Darkstalkers. I like that it's kind of a parody (Chun Li having a special move that turns her into Jill Valentine with a Beretta XD).

I pre-ordered the Xbox physical version. It should arrive tomorrow. Hope this does well enough to convince Capcom to make a new Darkstalkers game. It’s also just a great collection of games that I’d love to own.

I refuse... Unless it's on big sale.

How many times is Capcom going to keep repackaging their games.

If I do get it, it'll be the PC version, because I know on consoles, Capcom will take advantage and prevent compatibility next gen so that they can repackage and re-sell them again.

I still want my SSF2 HD Remix and SF3 Online from the 7th gen, to work on cureent gen consoles.

At least on the PC, it'll continue working indefinitely.

Not supporting this fighting game as Capcom comes off as a dick move how they handle fighting games and Darkstalkers Ressuraction is more than enough I gave a damn for.

The only mass repackaged game in this is SFII though (why wasn't Hyper in the 30th Anniversary collection?). They barely do absolute d*** with Darkstalkers besides throw Morrigan in crossovers... that's it!

I'll give you that, but I'm prejudice against Capcom sometimes.

This doesn't even look like a bad collection, but I default to "Capcom are assholes" sometimes. :-P

I already have a few Capcom collections, their previous SF collection, the brawler one, and the three volumes of their arcade packages for their virtual arcade whatever that is called, and so much between the three is redundant. If I get this it will be down the line, on sale.

I think the days of preventing backwards compatability are gone. I bought it on PS4 and it plays great on PS5. They didn't even have a dedicated PS5 version as it would have been pointless.

To be honest, I don't think there needs to be a time when the PS4 and Xbox One completely stop getting games. Sure, the AAA games will stop coming, but there's a ton of games that doesn't require that type of GPU or CPU power.

I don't see why, something like 60% of games wouldn't continue coming to last gen consoles digitally, indefinitely.

Do you agree?

In theory, there are games which would still work on 7th gen consoles, but the architecture is so different, it wouldn't be worth the effort or cost.

The choice is/was between the fighting collection and the just released Sonic but based on what the developers of Sonic have said about being rushed and certain issues, the choice might be clearer.

Yea I agree. Outside of New triple AAA titles where the old hardware may hold the game back there is no reason why everything shouldn't be released on PS4/XB1.

Interesting. Only $40.

I'm assuming @jg4xchamp picked this up? Any thoughts on it?
