Overhyped, no content and a complete failure.
And I thought devs would get it by now.

I can't comment on game play for Sea of Thieves, but I personally enjoyed No Man's Sky - even if it did fall a bit short of what was promised. I didn't sink hundreds and hundreds of hours like some people did into the game, but 60+ hours is a good chunk of time. I haven't played the game with any of the updates that were applied to it....maybe I should try it out some more.
As for Sea of Thieves, it looks kind of bad and the reviews I have seen about it, the writers aren't very impressed with it. Perhaps it'll be one of those games that picks up after 6+ months....though, by then, a game can be beyond everyone's radar and never make a come back.
I'm so tired of hearing about this game now. It's time to let it fade. There's a lot of this going on at Youtube right now with Xbox fans...
Stage 1: Defense force
Stage 2: Self-ownage
@Shewgenja: To be fair people like me have been preaching since the Alpha that the game is shallow and has no interesting content.
If it’s a unique and engaging experience like NMS, then I guess so
I have 68 hours in No Mans Sky... What do you mean by "engaging"?... 40 hours of the game was spent grind resources so I can buy a better ship and the other 28 hours was done building a base.
Its a game I throw on when I don't want to use my brain and just auto pilot, its a my stress ball game.
Nothing engaging or fun about it, it literally numbs me with its repetition.
Sea of Thieves was exactly what was presented nothing more. The nothing more was the kicker. No Man Skies on the other hand promised many things and didn't deliver. Its that simple of s difference. Besides, NMS is going to be on the Xbox, except it wouldn't be in beta.
The comparison between the two is stupid...lol. I think people just want to compare No Man Sky to Sea of Thieves because they want it to fail.
No Man Sky was nothing like the game they originally advertised.
Not really. For starters I don’t think that No Man’s Sky ever had this much interest in it from cows then Sea of Thieves currently does. ???

You should probably stick to lowest common denominator trash like COD, and GOW then
@R4gn4r0k: ROFFL. Sure. You guys knew it was a skeleton smashing simulator ALL ALONG, now? That's rich.
Plenty of videos / gameplay / lets plays / beta access before release.
Please dude, if you didn't know how shallow Sea of Thieves was before release you were either living in a cave or had a blackout from the internet.
@R4gn4r0k: Before release everyone was saying they were holding back content in the beta. Turns out that was bs.

Who are these everyone? The only thing they were holding back were all the three factions. There was no indication from Rare that content was being held back.
@Pedro: literally everyone hyping the game said it. Don't even try and act like people weren't saying it.

Firstly you don't know what the meaning of the word literally means. Second, since you are making this claim the burden of proof is on your end sir. Don't try to back away now.

Oh here we go... My God you people and your arguments are getting old.
My gaming library is a diverse as it comes from JRPG's to FPS games to strategy games and so on, yet because I don't like a game as much as you I must be "lowasd cummon demo-nator"?...
Get over your self.

It's like shame on us for liking a game! We'll get stoned!
Sea of Thieves is easily more fun than No Man's Sky. You'd also be giving No Man's Sky too much credit by likening it to Sea of Thieves.

Pretentious egotistical people man every where on this forum.
If a game scores low and most people hate it BUT they like it?... its underrated and were are all wrong.
If a game scores high and they don't like it?... Its overrated and we are all casuals.
I would rather play Borderlands 2 for the 5th time than play Sea of Theive's again and my Game Pass doesn't run out for another few days so its basically free and I still don't want to play it, yet my opinion is not worth their time.
They LIVE off of assumptions and elevate their own opinions over everyone else. I haven't played a Call of Duty since MW2.
No Man's Sky was a much worse flop. It barely had any good qualities on release, none of them being major. On top of that, they over-promised and under-delivered by a gigantic margin.
At least Sea of Thieves has PVP, although the rest of it is kind of meh, except for maybe the Kraken, which I haven't experienced.
