what are you doing trying to compare net revenues? lol If you look at the gross margin comparison for wii and Ps3 it will be ridiculously slanted towards nintendo... because they are actually making money right nowwhile sony is losing money.. The stock prices tell it all. Net revenues dont produce game sales which = new exclusive IPs. Also, a large amount of non gamers purchased the Wii and PS3. Looking at game sales, its clear that xbox 360 has the most gamers of any console...the market segment that people want to make games for!
Sony needs to face it and cut their losses... by the time they get anything good going this gen, the gen will be over... MS will have a new platform in 3-4 years.... what is sony supposed to do, release another platform after they completely failed on PS3? No one will buy it as it will be obsolete.

Umm....
So because the PS3 is last in sales right now...it already lost.
This gen has just begun. MS got an advantage w/ a year long headstart. Wii and PS3 launched a year later.
PS3 is the most expanisve console...and it has the least sales...but when you think about it...Sony has made the same amount of money on the PS3 than the Wii has for Nintendo.
5 million PS3's at $600 = $ 3,000,000,000
12 million Wii's at $250 = $3,000,000,000
Not PS3' costs 599 euros in Europe and over $1000 in Australia...so it pretty much evens out...give or take $10,000,000 for both companies.
Now yes Wii is actually making Nintendo Money...while Sony is losing $150-300 on each PS3.
But still the same amount of money was spent. Now with the PS3 become less expansive the PS3 might sell better...who knows.
But to count the PS3 out already is really silly and stupid.
Did Rome become #1 over night? Did it fall over night?

That's not the point I was trying to get at...I know Sony is losing money on each console sold...I have already stated that in the OP. But when you look at it, fans are still spending money on the PS3. The same amount of money has been spent on the PS3 and the Wii...so the consumers are still investing in Sony prodcuts.
if that isn't a clear indicator of incredible delusion, i don't know what is.
That was just an analogy. Great things take time. Just because your not #1 today, doesn't mean you won't be in a year.
Ummm...yes. How else will you know the result. Are you only looking in the short term?
