So apparently Ninja Theory are traitors now and deserve to shut down...

Bored at work so I'm surfing random gaming websites but my god every comment regarding Ninja Theory has such hatred.

Many comments on Twitter calling them traitors for not becoming a Sony studio or how joining Microsoft studios is equivalent to signing their own death certificate.

Heck, in a system wars thread, there are people so mad that they joined microsoft studios that they are HOPING that they shut down in the next coming years.

That just fan boy went extreme lol. I'm happy that Ninja Theory get to have bigger budget to make games and hope MS keep their promise with 100% creative freedom other wise it will be a waste of talent.

Not so sure about that. Don't see many "X studio needs to die because they joined Sony" threads from lems. Not like the "so and so reviewer needs to die because they gave a slightly lower scored than the average" or " boycott so and so studio for a certain game going multiplat" that type of fanaticism belongs to you cows amigo

If they let them "do their thang" hopefully this won't be the case. In the gaming area MSFT has a lot of catching up to do....if they ever catchup but they don't suck at everything. They are dominating in the cloud space after Satya's restructuring. They are growing like crazy!

I'm happy for Xbox fans, honestly... they are okay developers and hopefully with the funds they'll make great games. I'm only hoping it isn't another RARE case, though.

It won't be soon but I really do like heavenly sword and hellblade. So it they get the money to make an awesome game like those past games then I'll be super happy for them. One game won't sway me to own an Xbox but it's certainly a start as I don't have a pc either.

Heavenly sword was the first PS3 game I played and loved it! :) Hellblade was great too.

Ninja Theory are very creative when it comes to new IP and that's mainly why MS was interested in them. They'll be fine. High level of creativity also equals high risk. They were on the death's door anyway but MS saved them. They are in a better position now than ever with a much more resources. Marketing, team, budget

If a developer want to sell themselves exclusively to one platform, then so be it. Although, it does discriminate against all those who enjoyed their games on other platforms.

Tbh, it's a bit odd that Ninja Theory cites creative freedom yet MS is going around saying things like SP is dead, and that all games will be GaaS etc. I honestly don't see MS retaining them unless they pump out spectacular games that make tons of $.

I don't see who's bellyaching about it. Ninja Theory rather still be keeping the lights on as an MS company than struggling from game to game. They explained it, I believe them. Hopefully MS isn't just doing mouth service and will do something useful with them. There's enough games for Sony fans without having to worry about what's happening there. Want to play NT's next game? Get an Xbox or a PC.

Hopefully with much bigger budget you get to see what Ninja Theory can really do.

Even though MS' history with studios they acquire is spotty I'm still hoping they retain Ninja Theory and are able to come up with some hits.

It was a very intelligent acquisition for MS. Ninja Theory excel at making games with high-brow concepts. A clear departure from the dudebro image that has been cultivated at XBox over the years. It's hard to be mad at either party when the fit works so well. Some fanboys are just hostile. What else is new?

The difference here is that sony games get a free pass because they have majority of the market. Anyone who doesn't own a ps4 is told to suck it up, it's your own fault your missing out on these games, or it's your own fault for buying a different system.
