So apparently God of War: Ragnarok was delayed because Kratos's VA had to have surgery.

A bit of a bummer, but it was for the right reason after all. Health and recovery is far more important than some video game.

Wow, back surgery, both hips replaced and knee surgery?!? Surprised the game wasn't delayed a lot longer then it was!

Hope he's doing better, he's a perfect VA for Kratos.

I am sure the developers had plenty to keep them busy without doing the performance capture with the actor.

I'm totally okay with this but man, back surgery is something you don't wanna have. My wife had her back surgery back in January 2021. I wish Mr. Judge a speedy recovery and finishing up with Ragnarok can take its time.

Good on Sony Santa Monica for showing support for their employees. Though at the same time, you're not going to publish a new God of War game without Christopher voicing Kratos.

People can wait for a game, serious surgery generally cannot wait.

No one says "boy" like the alien dude from Stargate SG-1 :D

Same.

SG-1 is great. Juuuuuuuust the right amount of cheesiness, sci-fi, drama, and so on. And deep down no matter the odds you always knew everything was going to turn out OK.

And Stargate Atlantis arguably launched Jason Momoa's career!

Wow. I'm genuinely impressed with you guys for once. I expected the usual hate and disrespect.

That said, glad that he's doing better.

They replaced the original Kratos actor already. So, they could do the same with him. I am glad that he is recovering though.

@mrbojangles25: SG-1 was great until the later seasons... The repeating day episode still stands strong. I also loved Atlantis... Still watch both on-and-off.

@lundy86_4: The only thing I want from Sky is A League of Their Own.

The only thing I wanted when I was a kid was WWF from it. Never got it though.

It’s just so sad to see the lems here bashing the delay of this game , but only months later find out why it was delayed. I think lems forget that people who create games are human and they should be ashamed of their rabid behavior.

Had no idea you could replace both hips, sounds crazy! Anyhow I think he did a fantastic job in the first one as the new, older, more serious Kratos. Not an easy task given how iconic Kratos voice was in the first three games. Glad he’s back and in good health hopefully.

That is terrible and I wish him a speedy recovery. I never thought the game would make 2021 because they didn't show any gameplay when it was announced, but to find out the reason was because of this makes the delay a lot more meaningful. I will happily wait if it means he gets a proper amount of time to heal. This man has a great Kratos voice and I can't imagine anyone else taking the reins.

I may have to get into GoW next weekend, but I want to finish Horizon ZD first.

I've been a fan of Christopher Judge since the early 90's, almost got to meet him person once but only got to see him on stage. Dude is one of the most chill personalities I've seen.

How old is Christopher Judge? The fact that he needed hip replacement surgery on both his hips and surgery on his back and knees gives me the impression that he is at least in his fifties. Is there a recent picture of the actor, not the one from the 1990s as shown in this thread?

The dude's 56, but constantly jacked.
