So yeah finally the Soldier Of Fortune games (Yes that also includes that really bad one Payback) are now re-released on GOG. This is great for people who never had the chance to play them before but now they can.

@R4gn4r0k:

I agree. Both games may be very different from each other but they are still solid games.

They may not look so these days, but these games where way ahead of their time.

Soldier of Fortune 1 for the gore system, which is standard in a lot of games these days.

And I remember Soldier of Fortune 2 having some insane visuals. Especially effects, like grass moving in the wind.

Definitely classics, I never played the third game though.

I played the 3rd. It was just awful. 1st and 2nd were pretty fun, but the 3rd was just, yeah.... lol

I still have the first two on disc somewhere, but I'm too lazy to install an optical drive. Never played the third game. Is it really that bad?

Nice! Might pick them up again:) remember SOF1 being the talk of the town because it was the first FPS where it actually mattered where you shot the enemies!

Never played the games really, but I do remember getting a demo of Soldier of Fortune 1 with some kind of old PC game magazine when I was a kid. I played the first level over and over again and thought it was amazing that limbs could be shot off. Great fun. This is a thing that's for some weird ass reason isn't in games often. I want to break the bodies of my enemies damn it. Very few games let me do that.
