How is the humor in those games? As far as I'm concerned, the Deponia series is the gold standard for point & click adventures right now.

Totally agree. You took words right out of my mouth. Deponia trilogy is gold.

I'd give this a shot, I love traditional 2D adventure games. Wasn't a big fan of the latest Broken Sword though, that felt like a weaker entry in the series.

Will this be fine to jump into you think if I never played the original?

Anyhow, I remember a thread a while back and many people bringing up how there's still an existing market of worthwhile 2D point-n-click adventure games like I use to love in the 90s, just a shame they really don't make their way to consoles. So, I hope games like this do well so more devs that make these games consider digital console ports. I'll support this game if it'll help make that a reality.

I really liked new Broken Sword. I thought it was up there with the original. The story was definitely better than the second one and puzzles were better than 3 and 4 IMO.

As far as I can remember, all games took me roughly 10+ hours to finish. Play The Complete Journey (the package contains all 3 games from original trilogy) before picking up Doomsday (which is 4th game in the series). Every game is better than the last one and first one already was a great game. Story is really good and characters are hard to forget.

Will the voice of the main character make me want to push a fork up my ears again? Seriously, I could never play the first one because of that even though I heard many good things about it. Nice to see that classic point & click adventures are still on the rise though. Deponia is quite good, The Book of Unwritten Tales is fantastic, Day of the Tentacle remastered. That doesn't make me like Telltale games any less though. Completely different genres in my book.

i love that game and thanks to you I'm playing it. I'm also just starting Dreamfall Chapters and it appears to be a notch above TT.

@Cloud_imperium: There's a new Telltale and it's a Batman one. I'm not sure if I'll sneer at it or praise the game.

The whispered world was a great adventure game although I had to give up after afew hours due to the main character having the most annoying voice of any game ever.

Im hoping thats not the case with this one
