I must admit my friends, I hated them, but having got use to them Super Mario Galaxy and Resident Evil 4, they seem superior to tradtional controls.
Should NX waggle?

I'd much rather see the tablet return than the motion control stuff TBH.
That being said, I'm not really against either the Wii controllers or Wii U controllers returning as optional controllers to the NX.
**** no.
It's an automatic no buy for me if Wii or any other motion controls are the NX's primary control setup. I'll also point out that my phone's auto correct is always putting the word moron in place of motion when I try using swipe. I believe there is no coincidence there.
I wish I could pair wiimotes to my ps4 they are so good...i prefer wiimotes+nunchuck to traditional controllers in fact...
@dixonganesh: I must agree with this sentiment. The Resident Evil 4 Wii controls outdo even the mouse and keyboard for precision, while also being more immersive.
Overall: the future.
Definitely. They had it for the Wii U as a secondary option. Also if the NX is going to add the Wii to the virtual console, it's only natural to keep the motion controls as a secondary option since newcomers will want to buy them for the Wii games that will be on the eShop.
No, but I would like to see the Wiimote and Nunchuck as an option in some games. Particularly shooters. That controller doesn't work well for every type of game. The NX needs a traditional controller for developers to work from and other options in case they want to do something different.
I wonder why people hate them so much. I found them to be weird, so there was a period where "skillwise" it (I) was inferior to standard controllers. But once I got used to them they were fine. Now, the gimmicky motion stuff rarely worked as well as it should. But more traditional gameplay like Mario Galaxy used them effectively and in a fairly nuanced way that was fine. Honestly, it wouldn't sell or deter me from an NX. Games and modern features are what I need to see.
I'd like to have them as an option so that by some slim chance I can play a remake or sequel of Rodea and Metroid Prime Trilogy someday.
yes as the main controller setup.
it should be refined and improved of course..the wiimote and nunchuck were kinda like the nes pad of motion controls.
better ergonomics, more functionality built in and so on. a wiimote 2.0
the traditional controller is a limited dinosaur.
@locopatho: must be.
that setup has always been a compromise and there have been no major enhancements to it since the first dualshock on the PS1. that was the case in 07 and it still is now.
its just used a lot because its what people know after decades of practice. but for the games being made today its a compromise.
the steam controller is another big improvement and is an example of out of the box thinking in an area that really needs it.
the wiimote was a solid start.
@locopatho: accuracy in FPSs for a start...the steam controller has shown this (the trackpads are also far better for accuracy even without motion controls). as has the gamepad in splatoon.
sword fighting..flicking the analogue stick is a compromise.
of course when i say the wiimote and nunchuck i do mean the whole setup..not just the motion control aspect. but having both adds an extra tool to the developers toolbox. the IR was also an excellent addition indeed. even just having the ability to move hands independently (even just to rest them at your sides while playing) is an improvement.
there were issues with implementation on the first wiimote (poor quality sensors at launch, especially on the nunchuck for example) but the basic idea was sound. it just needs to be more fleshed out and more feature complete (without adding pointless bloat).
@locopatho: no the wiimote didnt have them but i dont think anyone is suggesting that nintendo just dig up the old wiimote and nunchuck for the NX and just call it a day.
also red steel 2 makes me strongly disagree with you on sword fighting. the game just wouldnt have worked on a traditional controller without some serious compromises. the game was fantastic and made the whole concept of that controller shine.

If you find 1 to 1 motion movement epic fun then fair enough. I don't see why a stick, with it's 360 movement, different degrees of force, and clicking for thrusting, can't do the same though. And more accurately to be honest.
Red Steel 2 was fun enough but wasn't exactly a super tight, challenging combat system either. I found it more of a novelty.

^ Agree...Nintendo's pro controllers are great..stick with that as the standard. :P
I liked the simplicity of Wii controllers, maybe if they used analogue on the controller itself instead of nunchucks and of course they need pin point accuracy.
