Sure. Uncharted and TLOU looks lame. They should make more cartoony and game-y things like Crash Bandicoot. Something that takes a little bit of skill would be nice.

To me, ND was best until Jak and Daxter 1. I still prefer the old cCrash games over Uncharted and TLOU. So my wish would be them going back to simplet but polished games. But I don't think that'll happen.

Rockstar is making Red Dead Redemption II and...to NO surprise it's the SAME formula they've been using for years yet NO ONE has suggested that they change their formula but EVERYONE is hyped for it...But "their games are just too formulaic" aren't they?

I liked Jak and Daxter 1, not quite as much as the 5 Crash games they made (yes, i include Bash). But after jak 2 I personally didn't like the path they have taken. I still played them because they are good games. It just feels like they are not polishing the gameplay as much as they used to. The sad truth is that my highlight from Uc4 is the Crash Bandicoot Level :S

I tried the remastered version of Crash and it wasn't clicking for me. I did enjoy Jak and Daxter but my love for the game also died with Jak 2. That was a terrible transition.

Just pointing out an obvious and tired fact.

It's always on Sony and their developers to go above and beyond what every other company in the industry is doing with shitty fanboys on system wars.

Why don't we ask EVERYONE'S favorite developer to abandon the formula they currently have and do something new???

If so they they need to change the name of the board Sony wars since everyone obviously pins their hopes, dreams and expectations on Sony and no other company.

@tgob89: I'm playing GoW right now, but anyway... I would be completely ok with Turn10 trying something new. Although for a highly specialised racing developmer that could be a huge challenge since all their tech has been developed towards that. But yes, I would be fine with that

Did you play all 3 Crash games or only the first one? Crash 2 is still one of my fav. platformers of all time.

I tried all three but I didn't play them extensively but I will give the game a second go during the summer.

False! People routinely shits on Ubisoft (specially), EA, Activision and MS for their formulaic games, cows included. And I have also seen people bashing Rockstar for their design though less than the companies I mentioned.

As a matter of fact there are a lot of xbox fans now who say they are happy with MS's "offerings" this generation.

And please point me to the threads asking for Nintendo, RockStar, Halo, Project CD Red and Turn 10 with successful franchises to change or abandon their formula...

@tgob89: I bought my pro a month ago and bought Uncharted collection, uncharted 4 and the last of us(I am playing then for the first time). I have been binge playing them whenever I can balancing my work. I have started with TLOU then UC1 and now I am halfway through UC2 and their formula is getting a bit stale now. So thats why I said some kind of variation would be great for them.

Btw I gave on assassin's Creed, cod and farcry long ago cause it seems Ubisoft and activition are too scared to get out of their comfort zone and make something interesting.

I miss the Jak and Daxter games but I'm also really looking forward to The Last of Us Part 2 multiplayer. They should further deviate from their formula with their new sci-fi IP.

It's MS that needs to change and grow. I really want them to make at least 2 more ips to franchise. Preferably an RPG and a platformer. Sea of thieves is ok for their second in house made it but it needs beefing. I'm sure some will mention Super Lucky Tail but do they own it? And honestly I played it, is kinda babyish like Kirby. What MS needs is something on the level of Sly Cooper or ps2 era Ratchet and Clank.And I won't say no too an RPG like jrpgs of the past.

What I think you might be referring to is the whole "Movie game" mantra going around lately, or that all Sony exclusives are the same. Is that more to what you're referring to? Because there is a bit of truth to that, and it's not just Lems pointing that out if your scope is larger than just System Wars.

I would like to see them go back to making games instead of movies. They used to be one of my favorites back when they used to actually make games, but now I see them as one of the companies most responsible for taking gaming in too much of a Hollywood direction which I think is the wrong direction.
