I don't really care, I'm not looking at their bodies like that anyway. Could be skimpy, could be covered wouldn't make a difference to me. They do the same thing with men though and not complain. I think if they are going to complain about the women, the men should have the same treatment.

It should have whatever the creators want it to have without feeling outside pressure from anyone.

Its funny how offended some people get because they can't see half naked poly females. LMAO.

There are thousands of free sites ranging from mildly risqué to hardcore pr0n and everything in between available at the press of a button. Besides that piece of a$$ of Mrs. Pac-Man, they can leave sexuality out of my video games altogether.

Not that I'm bothered, I just don't care, and when I do care, there's better options.

Sure, why not? It's an M rated game where you murder people in over the top ways...

No.

Although it is a M rated game, I think many kids play Mortal Kombat.

The topic creator needs to have a part in the discussion instead of just posting a poll. There is a reason this is a discussion forum in the first place.

Sure. I enjoy beauty not just in architecture and artistry but also in the human body and the way it is presented and carried. I think there's a balance to it. I don't mind skimpy... but if a style like that becomes common it would be less interesting. But I'm not too shy to play a sexually charged game every now and then. Let's not fool ourselves, we all like to feel and look good, and sexy things sell because many of us like them. Just like we are allowed to enjoy the fantasies of being a wizard or a general, I think it's OK for people to enjoy the fantasies of being beautiful or attractive together.

Where it makes sense, yes. If it's just for the sake of it, no.

But it does make sense for fighters, both male and female to wear either tight fitting and or minimal clothing, unless the devs want to put in a cloth ripping mechanic like what can happen in real life, would make for some interesting "finish her" moves... Hmmm

There is a difference, as the artist has every right to put in whatever they decide.

Yes. Not only did these designs get the series to where it was today, there really is nothing wrong with sex and people who seek to make it disgusting or demonise those who enjoy it are fucking weirdos.

I don’t understand people who voted No.

Why are you shaming beautiful women? Are we not allowed to appreciate hot women?

I can only guess that as of my post the 30% who voted “No” are either Religious, Hardcore Censorship/SJW, not straight male or are ugly themselves and jealous of digital beautiful women.

Can someone please explain why beautiful women in video games is a bad thing without using the excuse that “porn exists”. Lame excuse.

Yeah, I like MK being over the top. Put it this way what would be the opposite of skimpy clothes in MK... Turtle necks and buisness suits? Hoodies and sweatpants?

WTF is with all this ludicrous hyperbole? Because some games include sexuality, doesn't in any way represent that sexualization happens in "everything, everytime." in the medium as a whole. And I'm sure you don't actually mean that. Just that your complaint is on a poor foundation when you lean on hyperbole as a crutch, like the post above.

There ISN'T.

No body is asking Mario to be sexualised. Or FIFA. Or Tetris. People are just saying SOME things CAN be sexualised. An adult game featuring over the top violence and sexualised characters does not HAVE to be toned down, and people prefer it not to be just to placate largely non gaming censors.

An irrelevant ironic internet meme. A world away from Mortal Kombat.

I will reiterate, no one is SERIOUSLY asking for Mario to be sexualised. People are asking that Mortal Kombat is not changed rather than changed. You are not in good company on this, It's usually extremist reactionaries who lead panics and try to stifle human sexuality. Mary Whitehouse, various conservative politicians and churchies, and now SJWs. It's the people who like to suck joy out of life, and let's face it, these people are the last we should be taking morality from. Time and time again they are outed as slime.

I only group them together because as extremists, while their motivations may differ greatly, the end result is often bizarrely the same. When it comes to sex censorship, gaming censorship, anti semitism, science denial, they all end up doing it, they just do it for different reasons.

I really don’t care either way. It’s up to the developers to do what they feel like doing. Anyway I think the game is just fine how it is. It is hilarious though to see gamers crying foul now when for years they ridiculed Dead or Alive fighting games as nothing but a game for horny teenage males.

True enough. Even anti-SJW's are now seen as bad as the SJW's they claim they're against.

The whole idea was just to attract attention, anyway. And frankly, I think Mortal Kombat is a good enough game without the skimpy outfits. Either way the violence is most important part and that remains untouched. Outfits don't change anything. And tbh, it's fun to see anti-sjws get riled up over the smallest changes.
