Serious sam 4 gameplay revealed

I didnot liked any previous games in series despite tried all of them and especially worst was 3 but this game surprised me that it actually looks cool. looks like they improved alot since previous.

Its no Doom Eternal but looking good. keep it up.

Never played one before but I would be willing to try this.

We need more Serious Sam and we need more Painkiller.

Seems like Google bought this for Stadia exclusivity.

The old games were decent at best for the time, but SS4 just looks like shit. Flat and boring levels with a shitload of enemies coming at you is not very exciting.

I remember playing the first game from a demo disc back in 2001. Their graphics engine impressed me, gun play, location, and hordes of interesting enemies. Bought that bad boy shortly after.

Serious Sam--and I say this as a good thing--is one of the best "dumb" games out there.

I had a really good time playing SS3 in local co-op.

Serious Sam 2 was rated PC game of the year. I cannot picture that happening today.

Agreed, in an average FPS you are gunning down hundreds of foes. It should be silly!

Nah, these games should stick to the basics, that's what they are good at.

They are about facing larger and larger threats and being armed to the teeth with more and more over the top weapons.

Modern FPS like DOOM: Eternal add in needless stuff like platforming to spice up the gameplay between encounters. I don't think that's really necessary.

I much prefer the new Doom games. I like to explore levels and the traversal is fun. Also, verticality in level design makes things a lot more interesting. Having objects and corners to hide behind is fun too. Big open and flat areas with large hordes of enemies is not that fun for me. I am not a big fan of horde shooters. I find them tedious.

After Doom Eternal it would be very difficult to enjoy a game like this

of course Doom and Doom Eternal are better. there is no deny. have far more variety and not just wave shooter and AI only running at you.

Fair enough, DOOM level design is far more interesting for sure.

Hmm I should get around to seriously finishing Serious Sam 3, I only play it online casual or with a friend in splitscreen

Enjoyed all the other games so will definitely pick this up! Might not be goty material but definitely better than the ammo sim known as doom..

only if you want just simple game with no enemy AI variety and level design.

Eternal is hard and brutal on nightmare.

@ghosts4ever: yawn.. but we all know you play on easy and still save 50 times( like in RE2) so why would difficult matters to you?? Also lol at saying that the enemies in doom had any meaningful AI..
