Sega Games has trademarkedTabegoro! Super Monkey Ball in Japan. “Tabegoro” means “ripe,” “in season,” or “good to eat.”
Monkey Ball first launched for arcades in 2001, followed by GameCube as Super Monkey Ball the same year. The latest entry in the series, Super Monkey Ball Bounce, launched for iOS and Android in September 2014, but was removed from sale in 2015. Prior to that, Super Monkey Ball: Banana Splitz launched for PS Vita in June 2012.
Sega has not announced the development of a new Super Monkey Ball title.
Is probably nothing or something disappointing. But even though I have the GameCube originals (I'd get the PS2 "Deluxe" version, but the controls ruined that port), I wouldn't mind the original two Super Monkey Ball games getting an HD remaster for all platforms (Switch/PS4/XBONE/PC), even if they have to retry the "Deluxe" edition (by fixing the controls, especially now that the Switch has like two different GameCube controllers to work with).
