Unfortunately for Atlus, 400k sold in a month and the best remaster number they ever shipped in Japan compared P3FES, P3P and P4G still not enough to satisfy Sega. Unfortunate case being a division of big publisher.

Same as above. Switch, as well as PC, would be glorious for this game. It could also be that the Royal content just doesn't hold up, which is a shame, as P4G was excellent.

I still can't see Persona 5 appearing on PC to be honest. Catherine Classic seems to be a failure and as I had expected, can best be described as Cladun X2-2: Electric Boogaloo.

Having both Persona 5 on PS4/3 wasn't going to cut it if that's what Sega & Atlus thinks. The Switch is popular in Japan, so do yourself a favor Sega and release it on Switch. And as well on Steam cause that too will sell lots of units.

Persona 5 is also on PS3, not just PS4 as one system. Unfortunately for Sega, they miss alot of money not having Persona 5 on Switch the most. Oh well, this is all on Sega.

That's what I think as well. No way in hell am I paying another $60 for a few hours of new content within the same old 100 hour jrpg. Looks like the Japanese consumers also aren't buying it.

I think Persona 5R not being on PC is a lot more simpler than that, in that Atlus like most Japanese developers hate the PC platform

I would pick it up if it came to Switch, sure lots of Japanese gamers would too. But Atlus would never think that's smart, nor Sega, they won't even fund sequels to Bayonetta but they'll make one shit Sonic games after another.

And if by some miracle it did happen, it wouldn't surprise me to learn Japanese audio only just short of release, they pulled that shit with Persona Q2 and Tokyo Mirage Sessions, but this will be even more flabbergasting because the game has already been localized.

Japan don't port their games to PC in Japan but they do in west, hence why the delayed releases for PC. This is why many titles like Yakuza series or from Square or Nintendo friendly titles stays on console there. Those Sega guys are like the friendliest PC dev from japan so you will see a PC port unless its an exclusive title like Mario & Sonic.

Also unfortunately for beggars, Japanese gamer did buy the game, a lot, but didn't satisfy Sega very high expectation. Persona 5R sold 400k units in Japan including digital in a month as announced by Atlus and Sega CEO himself. It is the best selling Persona remake ever in japan.

Both Persona 5 and Sakura Taisen are niche games that sold relatively well, Mario and Sonic games are steadily selling less with each new iteration, I sincerely don't know what SEGA expected.

That would be like if I said "All this PS4/XBONE/PC port begging for *insert Platinum Game exclusively on Nintendo here* who don't even want the game in the first place", when the past couple days proved me WAY wrong if I ever did say it (W101 and Kickstarter... which I HATE that they did after a certain investment from a firm in a rival nation to Japan, not against a port otherwise, so don't start)

If Sega has not come to terms there's demand for it on other platforms, then go figure they left the console race for a reason.

This is why I just can't have only an xbox games like this just don't come to xbox. This is why ps4 is better and all that jazz. How can you survive this gen without persona 5? I just don't see it happening Microsoft needs to push these developers or bribe them.

If I'm going to play a turn based jrpg, I prefer the switch, I've always prefered playing these types of games handheld, I cant justify taking up the living room tv and couch for it, I own Persona already on ps4, still havent beaten it, if the TV is in use, I move to the switch or pc... when I want to game.

there is no benefit of me having to play this game on my ps4, if i want to play a text heavy weaboo game, i want to do it on handheld so people can't see what im doing

Playing persona 5 as we speak and think it’s great. However I have zero desire to pay another 60 bucks for something that every other developer would release as a dlc

Much as port begging can be annoying (and I agree, I mean it's port beggars that review bombed Astral Chain, still sour Platinum is/was working with Nintendo), but you understand WHY they do it. Not everyone wants to own more than one damn system, so they want AT LEAST third party games on as many systems as f***ing possible (first party owned IP's though? Well, it depends. Take Nintendo for instance. You see Mario/Zelda/Pokemon on PlayStation/XBOX/PC... yeah, we've seen how WELL Mario fares in the mobile sector).

@nintendoboy16: i should qualify that. I did fill out that japanese survey asking to put persona on pc as well as their other games. I think catherine was the product of that. Thing is, they released full body on ps4 which deincentivized me to pick up the pc version.

It would be STUPID if it didn't. Just ask otherwise historically PlayStation friendly Square Enix and the extra content they gave the Switch version of Dragon Quest XI.

They should of released it as a expansion pack on both physical and digital at about a £20-30 price tag instead of making people buy the entire game all over and expecting it to sell well.
