Valhalla runs the same on PS5 as it does XSex, same for Watchdogs. Two open world games. Also the same for COD. Where's this "HUGE" advantage Lems? Seems you're running out of things to hype..The most powerful console won't even show its superiority at launch. PS4 instantly had resolution differences at launch. Wonder what the excuses will be.

How do you know it runs the same? One could have textures on ultra while the other on high. One could have shadows on ultra and x16 af, while the other has medium shadows and a pathetic x2 af.

30% difference in power is m a s s i v e. You can deny it, or accept it in your life. Your choice.

The PS5 won't do anything better than the XSX unless 1-2sec faster loading is what you consider as an advantage worth paying attention to. Lets pretend 30% less powerful isn't much, but a 1-2sec faster loading, in a 5sec loading screen is such a big deal 😱

I have accepted long time ago. I closed my eyes to the 30% power disadventage and preordered the ps5. You, tho, i don't think you can get over it. Wish i could help tbh.

@Sagemode87: unfortunately, even if you are right 17% is a large difference and there is a big CU advantage and CPU advantage on the XSX as well. If there is no difference in a game it means the devs developed for the PS5 and left things locked there. Because it definitely would and should have a disadvantage otherwise

Look at those graphics. This is running on a significantly more powerful system. Now imagine the same game running on the PS5. You get the picture.

Most developers are just trying to get their games ready for launch. So, you won't see much difference between the 2 and I expect more parity early on. Once we are into the generation, developers will spend more time tweaking for each platform.

The evidence will come when we actually compare benchmarks and confirm areas such as native, dynamic or checkerboard and actual quality settings set.

The results will vary but its safe to say the X with be higher in more games.

Well it is launch after all but I’m sure as time goes on we’ll probably also see more games showing bigger differences between the two platforms. It is up to the devs regardless on if they want to push the Xbox Series X version with the extra horsepower that they’ll have available to them and there will surely be some that will do just that.

Best case scenario for the PS5 is dynamic res with the same fps and gfx settings. 20-30% worse average resolution.

Worst case, PS5 versions have lower static res, more framedrops, more tearing, worse gfx settings.

So matching resolution and framerate is running them the same? What other info is there?

1- Assuming. Also, if one setting is different, its guaranteed to have other settings to be lower as well. Combine them all and you have a noticeably worse looking game.

@hardwenzen: again, if it was 30 percent we'd see a difference in resolution and framerate. Unless you guys actually think the difference is so big there will be different graphical settings, which is laughable considering PS4 and Xbox One had the same graphical settings with a 50 percent difference. Just accept that both machines are similar. The Xbox brand must suck if you guys HAVE to have a big advantage for it to be relevant 😂
